  2. I went and picked a bottle of this up and bloke there recommended the powder. I should of stuck with that. I’ll go and get a bottle always handy to have. Cheers.

  4. Evening all, Advice please … me dogs run into some barbed wire after a rabbit and this is the outcome? I’ve cleaned it and keep applying antiseptic powder. He doesn’t seem in any pain or any difference in him at all. I’m not a scrimper just wonder if it’s a vet job I’ll go first thing in the morning? Should I wrap it or keep it open?

  7. First ever night on the lamp for me and my pup he’s just turned 10 month old and I’m just looking for 2 or 3 easy slips. I’ll talk you through it if you care to read. Out the car and straight away a squatting rabbit. Dogs tugging on the slip he must of seen him. We get without 40 yards the rabbit gets up and bolts and I slip the dog. He runs straight past the rabbit and in the wrong way like he hasn’t seen it…. Ok lamp off, whistle softly and he comes straight back. I’m pleased he didn’t start hunting up so we crack on.   12. Thank you and I agree. Fingers crossed he makes a good standard. Been reading the threads for a while and seems around 50/50 split of people who do and don’t rate the beddy inclusion in the Lurcher.
  13. Cheers moocher we always had beddy in ours so I knew that was the way I wanted to go. I shall take him out in the next month or so then and try and get him a an easier one or two. Thanks mate ??

Aup folks, first post thought I’d introduce me and me pup…. my old man was a Lurcher man he passed away couple years ago and never got to teach me the ways of bringing a Lurcher pup on, I’ve got a good bushing terrier already….so I’ve been using the search bar on here to self teach along with them Dave Sleight videos on YouTube, thought I’d show my pup he’s 9 months now had him since he was 8 weeks old, I’ve been doing some lamp training with him at night, I don’t think he’s too far off having a go but not gonna start him yet.
