  1. theres a young lad on one of the facebook groups with a deer/grey x mali and it looks a cracking dog dont know if its doing the business as its only a year old if i remember right.
  2. Sorted now thanks. Stitches coming out Monday lunch time imagine might be another day or 2 before I can let him off the lead but i don’t know. We’re fed up of 15 minute road walks twice a day now can’t wait to lose the leads.
  3. Thank you appreciate that! Tomorrow will be a year since I picked him up 8 weeks old. Loving it.
  4. I wanted to take this advice and let it heal but i just wasnt sure so went to the vet, i remember my old man used to stitch them and sort them himself but with him passing away i dont have that guidance and it was a first accident for me. id already been to the vets before i put this post up so it was already in motion. I'm that little bit wiser now for next time. Vets are always keen not to let the dog lick the wounds do you think different? i also thought to let them lick it was good... Cheers.
  5. @Moocher71 healing well mate thanks! 5 days since he had the stitches.
  6. wish id of come on here sooner. Hes all booked in and paid for for the morning now so i'm gonna just let it be with the vet but your advice in exactly what i needed and i appreciate it thanks.
  7. my instinct said i could leave it, keep it clean and lead walk him while it heals i just didnt know better for sure, hes booked in for weds and insurance has covered it, but this is a lesson learnt thank you Fens ?
  8. Did it late Friday night. It’s started to heal well I’ve cleaned it up throughout the days and I was intending on just letting it heal however it was the flap of skin not taking back down that bothered me so went in to see vets opinion last night. Perhaps I was best going straight away. hes insured so will cost me £85 excess but I don’t like even giving them that
  9. Would it take much longer to heal that way?
  10. Me young dog landed on some barbed wire whilst out lamping think he misjudged it being a double row of the stuff he’s normally a foot over everything. Other than the actually cut he’s absolutely fine. Vets have priced it up at £600 (??) to put him under and stitch it, pain killers and everything else. Seems unbelievable how much money but I’ve never been in for anything like this before!? However, I’ve heard horror stories of dogs and barbed wire ripping there c*cks off and worse so overall I’m glad it should be fairly straight forward. Hes 13 months old, started him off lightly 2 or 3 mo
  11. dont know about the one youve shown but i know from my experience the clulite PLR 500 is a good cheap lamp for the money about 60 quid
  12. Ahh. I’m sure you’ll crack it mate you’re keen enough ?? yeah he’s alright he’s only done about half dozen rabbits so far been taking it steady with him. Gonna start doing a lot more at end of shooting season til end of season. Not been out with the ferrets and him yet. Excited tho.
  13. Hows lurcher pup coming on now scott?
  14. Is this type of trail cam they’d use? Came across recently whilst mooching through some woods
  15. Real smart looking lurcher you have i like a rough coated dog and terrier looks like seen a few good years. ?
  16. Cheers ive got the spray already so will get to it
  17. I have just done this thank you Dan ??
  18. I don’t think it’s bothering him massively but he must be scratching at them at least a little bit because the ear tip was healing up and I’ve noticed today it’s bigger and open again.
  19. My young Lurcher has these sores on his ears. I noticed the one on the end of his ear the other day but it was smaller and I presumed he’s took a nip off the terrier after all he does push his luck with him so I cleaned it etc. Today I’ve noticed a sore in his other ear so guess they’re linked? Any advice or seen this before? The dog himself is no difference He’s his usual self. I’ve got the covid so I’ve been bed bound last few days so not managed to nip it in the bud any earlier, my brother is gonna take him vets tomorrow for me I’m just just after a heads up. Cheers.
