Can’t keep mine out of water, like been said before starts from a puppy and I went out of my way to encourage him in, ankle deep at 12-16 weeks. Great for cooling him down and fitness thru summer pain in the feck when he jumps in a stinking muddy hole tho

Hundreds of big cat enthusiasts on this Facebook page recon this is some sort of puma / mountain lion I can’t see anything other than a Labrador. Head conveniently down on all the photos. The Facebook experts are all pointing to the long thick tail on the last photo.

I’m the same mate I only run him by myself and don’t even know a man with a coursing bred and he’s just a knock about beddy grey to lurcher and I’d love to see how far behind he’d be against a supestar cos he knocks plenty over locally (quite far behind probably) I’ve never seen a real coursing bred run in the flesh.

I can believe it, it’s big business re selling them! I keep mine because I play twice a week and I’m only out there searching for an hour with the dogs and will find around 50 balls. Knew they cost 30-50 quid a box of 12 and I’m not paying that! i could sell this lot for £30 tonight if I wanted so it be nice beer money hobby but i just do it for myself.

Was out on the golf course finding golf balls with uv torch and me dog n lamp, lovely clear night but didn’t see any of the meteor showers unfortunately

is there a drop of bull in the line? (i come in peace) lovely looking dog!

what is the thought process of letting a dog do this? Very odd to me. I get you dont want a Labrador but why would you want a dog to do this out in the field Get to a deer or any quarry and its mangled to feck not for me.

i think most coursing lads arnt arsed about dog having manners. Dogs either on a slip, behind a hare or in the pen just seen as a tool the same as a Rifle is to the shooting lads. i like to mooch about and have me dog with me all the time be no use at all if it wouldnt come back when its told or walk by me side off a lead, or sit and stay and what not. im sure coursing bred could be no different if owner wanted more from it?

This group on Facebook is full of people certain they’ve seen ‘em.

lovely looking dog. Glad you got a happy ending.

would you end up with bigger dogs overall in the end if you used a greyhound bitch and bedlington dog? Does that have any bearing? Ive wondered this.

cheers mate, i keep looking but cant quite justify it for a new one, the money shots require the expensive lense i think, dont they. Just had a quick google thanks for that!

brilliant photos @Bush Rummager would love a photo like that of my lurcher. what camera do you use?

great fun isnt it! Im more interested in pottering about these days rather than thrashing it. Going to get back in the horse saddle and do some trekking with the dogs that way as well.
