I told my boys look at this horse rider waving me on on a blind bend , it so happened a white van came around at about 50 mph , it sank in .. albeit most don't have an outcome and they go yeah yeah...

At the same time little titbits, like if you can't see because blinded by light look at the edge of the road and hold on lol, it all filters through when you least expect to need it....

I agree , I certainly made my own mistakes, too many . At the same time I took reassurance from the old man , there's a thousand moments , one that springs to mind was getting agro from a girlfriend, he just said throw the phone in the bin... sometimes you need that simplified guidance lol

Well it's kinda a bollox video, but it's what we all want for our boys , knowing what our fathers may or may not have given us, life experience you wish to pass on , stories . Basically Humanities experience has been passed on through millennia through stories.

We've had a brief shower three times, dry again in five mins , humidity up , cold cider all the way....hosing dogs down , they've both been in river this morning....

I think a rule of thumb is that the most popular dog is probably the best bet , we'd all like something different to the next guy at some point in our lives but generally what's getting work is gonna do the job better...

Out with a skipper in Cornwall says the med octopus have decimated crab and lobster no amount caught since January ,now not allowed to return any octopus, another skipper had 7k of octopus in a day's fishing, he was complaining he'd not gotten a tuna quota, the guy I fished with did for the second time but he seems to have been heavily involved in getting it started in the first instance. He also said many will put the octopus invasion down to global warming but it occured in the 40's and before that in 1904 of something so it's a cycle. Nah quince is good for nothing other than adding into jams etc . Commonly added to an apple pie ...or a stand alone jelly but not for me...

I've worked in foundrys and alike when younger in these temps, but I was fit and slim, was Tig welding at height in a cherry picker yesterday with a plastic sheet over me and really felt it as did my colleagues and the health and safety guy, so they had a day off from me and I imagine they were glad of it....
