Kinda early boxing day... My mate used to have a couple of pints and steak and chips for a good few years. I'm keeping it simple turkey roast , nice breaky , some cheese etc for supper. Boxing day is king all the cold cuts pickles etc pick all day chill out , gonna get the dogs completely f****d up first thing so I can relax , can't wait.

When my old man fished it there was postman's peg as he could beat most to it, also bed peg and people might hook a bedspring and think they had a fish, remember going there maybe 5/6yr old and throwing stones and alike as some guy landed a big pike , my poor old man trying for an hour's fishing whilst looking after us lol. He fished a match there and watched one of the best in country turn up to throw a bait bowl of orange sized ground bait balls into his swim sit and read a paper for an hour and then go on to win the match on bream, was definitely my dad's realm. I was invited to the races for work do , thought about it but I spend enough time with guys on site, plus most of these lot are on the books and hate subbys . I'd more likely meet up with a mate or two over Christmas, got a fishing session planned and another friend normally pops over New year's. Feck work lol

Well I've toyed with the idea of ripping the bath out and putting a shower in , but that might be a far as it gets , I'll probably be gorging on cheese and pate dealing with gout and alcoholism rather than grout and hygieneism....

I was fortunate as a young kid although mostly solo I was in the sticks with guns and knives messing about in the woods , when we moved to towns it was BMX adventures and fishing , a lifetime away from my teens.

I'm a subby, probably break up for Christmas Friday 19, lose 22/23 and the 2nd to have a two week break. Can't wait for it tbh.. ordered a meat hamper today from local butcher...tree next weekend....

Chatting to some friends, one mentioned a car without all the electrics etc would sell, my other mate a mechy said wouldn't stand a chance of passing emissions without all computers , game over.

Enjoyed season 2 of andor , star wars spin-off. Avatar 2 , okay watch. Watched the first episode of season 2 of landman as free might have to signup to paramount for a bit to see it all, decent series

I'm fortunate I have no interest in car outside of something reliable and preferably comfortable. Work with lads that work away with a banger whilst got an expensive motor sat on the driveway on tick paying through the nose for so they can drive it twice a month. A lad dropped his tools of the other week in a gle V8 , and came back down in another Merc . I here from missus or kids about the keeping up with the Jones' whether cars or houses , my son came back the other day said his mates house got a sitting room same size as our downstairs and kids got his own bathroom etc. I just say well they

A lot of it comes down to energy costs to produce materials, a will to build more , lack of training and mentoring . The money is in lending money on mortgages not building houses. I think as far as youngsters go, and adults phones are a killer . I only got to look at guys I work with half of them are staring at a phone half the day, I'd ban phones or have them in a locker if I employed people. As for people slating young folk they're your kids or grandkids , I tell it as I see it I don't suffer them, I've refused to work with lazy sods before , gaming all night and claiming pip and in there p

I would say with limited knowledge the mastiff breeds were the nanny dogs , the dogs bred to protect and laze around , found throughout Europe. Originally of sounds temp as apposed to fighters.
