As a rule yes, but I think what wideboy is saying is the closer you get to Dublin etc prices become more comparable with urban areas of England. the same is true of most places, you can get a small holding in the north of Scotland for 150k or a studio flat in Edinburgh for the same money. Plenty of places in uk you can relocate and set up and be totally removed from the problems wilf has escaped without going to Ireland, the issue is if your of working age with a family there are no career opportunities to keep you there, which is exactly why it’s as cheap. I think the fight or flight instinct of man changes as to whether or not they have children to protect. I couldn’t ever knock a man for changing his circumstances for the better of his own offspring. On a scale of responsibility for the horrendous scandal I’d say the police are up there on the same level with the pakis. Anyone that can turn a blind eye to what went on is every bit as implicit as the perpetrators. how any of that filth could go to work in a morning knowing what was going on but turning a blind eye to protect their job,pension etc is every bit as sick. unbelievable really. There can be no excuse.

The hardheaded bitterness and bigotry has achieved very little in reality in recent times apart from holding back certain communities From prospering. It’s sad to see children brought up with bigotry and hate, whilst there parents pick up their dole cheque from the enemy. How’s that for shortsighted apathy. I just hope the bitterness will let them see who the real enemy within is, rather than let the past cloud their judgement.
