    dvd

I bought that DvD at christmas and thought that it was pretty good. Seems to be a real mixture of dogs used even a spaniel trys to join in. Also bought the dvd from the same company that features squirell shooting (drey poking) and ratting, but thought it was a bit disapointing.

    dedication

Agree with you lads i think Joe will knock Lacey out. I dont think Lacey has fought anyone who hits as hard as Calzaghe. A win would probably get Joe the recognition he rightly deserves.

    hatton

Think if Hatton fought Zab Zudah he'd probably do a better job at knocking him out than Tszyu did. Gatti v Mayweater should be a cracker!!! :aggressive: One fight i would like to see is Hatton v Witter, but i dowt Witter i'll be calling Hatton out now. It's nice to say Britains got a GENUINE WORLD CHAMP. All the best Tommy.

    hatton

Agree with you Shaun. Think every newspaper boxing pundit seems to be underating Hatton a little bit. Tszyu has in my opinion a change of beating Hatton if he jumps on him in the early rounds and lands some heavy shots but feel if Hatton survives the first four rounds we'll have a new world champ. I think Hatton's only been floored once in his career, by Eamon Maggee, who's a natural Welterweight and a known big hitter. I suppose the clever bet, if your a Hatton fan, is Hatton over 12 rounds but i have a feeling that Hatton will win within six rounds. Roll on 2am. All the best To
  5. Nice looking dogs ther fella. the white bitch is simular to one of my dogs only your bitch is a bit bigger. Wasn't the Ink dog bred from one of Willie Toughs dogs crossed with Geof Ogdens Boy ??? Have a few videos of this dog running, mainly double handed wining Calendar coursing events and it seemed a descent animal. Just got a copy of the Sooner + Salty tape, a very bad copy i must add and there are a few good old dogs on there, including Turk, Don Southerds old bitch and Willie Toughs Spindles. All the best Tommy
  6. Any one going to this show tomorrow??? The shows held at the Waverly Pub Pub, Brinsworth Road, Catcliffe, Rotherham. Should be a good show as last years show proved to be. Terrier, Lurcher and Ferret show and the proceeds are split between the club and a local Cancer care Hospital. Surely a worthy cause. All the best Tommy .
  7. A bloke who lives on the same road as me is moving to France and is taking his dog with him. His dog was jabbed up around five months ago and it cost him £180 as you say there is a blood test included as well. After the jab and bloodtest has been done you need to wait six months before the dog can be transported to a fro from different countries. The dog can be taken to a country before the six months is up but cannot return until its six months has been fully served. So basically six months after been jabbed the dog can be transported between countries as much as you want. Does the dog n
  8. interesting site there Admin. them Afghans look a lot different to the low flowing furrballs that the Kennel club parrade. i have a book about sighthounds and theres a few pics and drawings of old Afghans and they look like the ones on that web site. Look's like the Ukraine have there own fen land if them pics are anything to go by. All the best Tommy
  9. Agree with you Andy. when out coursing we would usually arrive at the land just before it comes light and get in positions of the land we plan to walk off. The stillness of the early mornings just cant be beaten. Roll on next season. All the best Tommy

    Best insurance

is it true that the insurances are only valid if your not getting paid for the work your carrying out. so if you had an accident while beating and recieved money for your service would the insurance be invalid ??? All the best Tommy.

    tattoos

Alec mate i had a running dog coursing a hare tattoo done just before christmas and i'm telling you [bANNED TEXT] that it looks the dogs bollocks. the bloke who did mine dad was a greyhound man (flapping tracks) so he had a rough idea of the muscle structure that was needed. i took a print out of the one done by Lal Hardy but because of copywrite and such he decided to design this one from scratch. if i get access to a digital camera or scanner i'll put a picture up. i'm well chuffed with it. All the best Tommy.
  13. I have a copy of the 'Saluki' videos by Sir Terence Clark and on this he says that the arabs call all their dogs 'Slougies' and not 'Saluki's'. From this am i correct in assuming that the Saluki and the Sloughi are the same breed, only split by western K.C regulations??? Lovely looking bitches (Willow) and her mother there Bolio. The father to the dogs i'm running now was of a simular stamp to your dog (Willow). All the best Tommy
  14. Shaun V, was talking to the bloke who owned Cruise (Shildon) at a greyhound coursing meet just before christmas. he was saying that he knew you and telling me about how his old dog could kill hares up north on the small fields. Didn't you put a few pictures of the dog up on smoochers a while back. the bloke i course with is from Mayo southern Ireland and when he yous'd to go back home he would occasionally take his dogs with him and these were saluki crosses. he said they killed him a few hares and these dogs were used to running on big fields. All the best Tommy
  15. Bolio wasn't there a pure saluki running in the 2001 Forley Cup, representing the Monkeyhanger coursing club. i may be wrong ?? Totally agree with regards towards the pure saluki if they were good enough to successfully course single handedly then they would have been no need to cross them. The bloke who i have coursed a lot with run a 3/4 Saluki 1/4 Greyhound and this dog has killed alot of hares but needs to be run on big land to become effective. I suppose if your after a dog to kill hares then a Saluki cross will be probably the best option the amount of saluki should represent the ty
  16. Doxhope of the Deerhound verses Saluki coursing you have seen was any off the competitions held on the fens are any other big land. one of the Deerhounds i have seen running is owned by my dad and even though he has a good amount of stamina compared to my own and other friends saluki lurchers they have the upper hand in the stamina stakes. when watching some of the old coursing tapes 1992/1993 there seems to be a few deerhound crosses on these but most of the courses are won by saluki crosses due to better stamina. Where the Deerhound v Saluki matches run on the moors mainly? All the
  17. speaking from what i,ve seen in the past two season coursing with greyhound's these certainly wouldn't be at the top off the list. in no way am i slagging this bred of dog but the main aim of the greyhound coursing game is not to kill the hare and if the hare isn't killed on the run up or first couple of turns then he will usually escape. last season while coursing with the greyhound clubs which was usually every other weekend and some week days (from 0ctober to febuary) i saw about 15 hares killed which is a very little amount compared to the ammount of hares coursed. was talking to a few pe

    Hare Coursing

in reply to what Chili was asking my mate wasn't driving the car and there were three people out that day (this was before the ban on hunting came into force). they were charged for illegal coursing, in pursuit of game (the usual charge) and this was the last they heard of it. when this charge went through court and they recieved their fine they believed that was the last of it but were informed that the courts and police were going take them back to court to try to withhold their driving licenses. Now all the people i've mentioned this to plus the accused can't believe it as we were unde

    Hare Coursing

was talking to a friend today and he his waiting for confermataion of whether he will be losing his driving license, and he was just a passenger. what a load of shite, out of all the crimes committed in the country (burgulary, muggings) illegal hare coursing carries a bigger fine than both these. :realmad: :realmad: All the best Tommy
  21. Thought i would just let you know about my own experiences of using greyhounds in the field. About three years back my dad was given a five week old litter of track greyhounds and rehomed most and kept one back himself. This bitch he kept was very biddable from a young age and took to light retrieving and jumping at an early age. She even caught her first rabbit aged 7 months and even though this wasn't planned she ran and picked up really well. Another plus was her no fear attitude to cover however thick, and i still have her on video flussing pheasants and partridge from pretty thick cover.
  22. is that a 'Gold Sattinett' hen bird there...... had a few of them last year as there supposed to be good as breeding birds. now have a pair of Rollers, a Fife cock bird and a siskin mule. ohh and not forgeting a Rosella that sings like a sqeakey wheelbarrow all the best Tommy
