    Still a fair amount of Ward blood in Durham area he was very prevelent in the eightys he was pally with one of my cousins used to see him and his good wife at the summer shows a lot back then if you grab a copy of the fell terrier by plummer youll find a few photos of dogs of that genre .They were good lookers no doubt mousie, churchy and tbag prob have a lot of ward blood with a heady mix of brightmoor and middleton .They were fiery feckers of that i know as minty had dogs of this line and i worked them till my early 20s.

    has she been in season recently, meg gets a bit thin in coat just after being in season. Try a shampoo called selsun it is for chronic scalp conditions and clears up scabs and flaky coats, or/and treat with advocate available from your vet it sorts out mange, fleas,ticks, and various worms, can be use to treat problems and can also be used every three months to prevent them happening.

    we had a lakie with shocking demodectic mange, found that advocate helps with sarcoptic but not demodectic, but aludex was excellent, and a shampoo called Selsun which you can get from chemist helped ease the itching it is for chronic scalp conditions in humans and does seem to ease the problem. hope this helps. if you are going to use the advocate spot on treatment give the dog a bath with the shampoo first then let it dry then treat it as the dog shouldn't be bathed for a couple of weeks after doing the spot on to allow it maximum time to absorb into the skin system. firenze - if yo

    epsom salts do the trick, family have used them on the dogs for forty years and never had a problem.

    just a suggestion, what days into the season are you mating the bitches, we always go for 9 11 & 13, worked so far, have the bitches had pups from another dog it may not be your dog that is the problem.

    My bitch puppy was stolen from the back garden while I was upstairs with the kids, heard the other dogs barking and went to tell them off and saw 2 lads late teens/ early 20's (approx as from the back) running away with the puppy under their arm. Police have been called but not much help, been out with the posters today and rang round everyone I can think of but any information much appreciated. She will be 16 weeks old, blueish black, 4 with feet, white tip on tail, slight white blaze, first cross bull greyhound, had a slight cough getting tablets from vet. just want her back, no questions a

    I don't get out with the dogs as much as I'd like, have one lurcher bull cross and 3 terriers. 2 patts and a lakie. Like reading the posts on hear and getting info about dogs and hunting, seeing other peoples dogs and reading their opinions.
