“Government” ….the clue is in the name ! It’s the job of the government to govern, not be subservient to the Lords, the Civil Service, the Judiciary, (Parliament makes the laws, the judiciary is supposed to apply those laws, not change them),the ECHR, foreign courts and international treaties. Successive governments have derogated their responsibilities to quangos, it sounds like from what Kruger is saying, Reform will take back control, but I fear they will have an almighty battle with the Establishment and the MSM to wrest back control. After 70 , we have to renew our license every three years. It’s no big deal, 10 minutes on line, don’t have to prove anything. Just this week renewed mine for the second time, so I’m good ‘till I’m 76. Cant see the point in it really, but I have regular medicals , hearing and eye tests sand I think I’ll know when to give up driving. Cheers.

I tried over wintering chilli plants last year in the greenhouse but they all died. I was given conflicting advice, some said cut them right back, others said don’t cut them back, so I tried both ways but no success. Im trying these this year; Perpetual spinach. Started off in pots in the poly tunnel. Will plant them out in the spring. Cheers. -

An illegal immigrant gets jailed for 12 months for sexually assaulting a 14 year old and is “accidentally “ released after 1 month. They shouldn’t be here in the first place ! Starmer is on tv playing the world leader with other European leaders , promising Ukraine more money and missiles while the country is falling apart ! Cheers.

Philosophically, I’m an old school stoic, maybe a fatalist, I’m not too sure. I think you can influence your fate, your future, whatever you want to call it, just as both you and I chose to by moving abroad, but you can’t change fate if cancer is going to strike or a drunk driver is going to mow you down, some things you just have to take and make the best of it. Politically, I’m certainly well right of centre , but can accept some left wing views without being ideological or dogmatic about either. Religiously I don’t believe in god, but absolutely agree with Christian values.

No mate, not really a fair assessment. Farage is Leader, Bull is chairman, Tice is vice chairman, Anderson is chief whip. Yosuf is Head of “DOGE”, (department of government efficiency), tasked with finding savings in the councils now run by reform. I think he’s fairly down the pecking order now, and is used as a spokesman simply because he speaks so well on tv , he tore that duplicitous snake Barry Gardener to shreds the other day in a debate. There was a Labour councillor on tv last night saying if we were still in the EU we could use the Dublin Agreement. The interviewer was ready for him; official figures showed 400 returned to the EU…… over 1,000 sent from the EU to here. Cheers.
