Does anyone find some dogs seem naturally adverse to domestic stock and some can never be trusted ? Many years ago I had a deerhound type called Brin, he was a good dog on the roe. We were out one day and a calf ran out of hedge and Brin ran at it, got near and stopped and came back. He hadn’t been broken to cows but seemed to know instinctively. This bitch I’ve got now is completely indifferent to my poultry at the allotment but takes feather when I’m out working her. My daughter did ibac in Saudi and Dubai; my son did ibac in Saudi but then did boarding school in England for three years for A levels. They both had good jobs in the international marketplace, my daughter was a manager of corporate accounts for Barclays Bank in Dubai, and my son was Entry Clearance Officer at the British Consulate in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, so I’m not knocking A levels or ibac, just the situation for my grandson leans towards ibac, but his mother now informs us that she would like him to go to university in England, he’s just turned 10, so there’s still time to make decisions o

Depends what you mean by “a government in the east. “ ? If it’s a dictatorship/ authoritarian/ communist government, then no, I’ll stick with what Churchill said; “ democracy may be bad, but it’s the least bad of all the other options”. If you mean geographical east, well the likes of Singapore seem to have it right in putting their own people first. Even the likes of Saudi Arabia put their own people way , way above foreigners. Putin has already ruled out having NATO or EU troops as peacekeepers, so that’s a non starter. Its just Starmer posturing. He was asked today if giving fishing concessions to France were part of the deal for us to join some fanciful EU defence pact and he completely swerved the question. THEY need our military and intelligence capabilities, WE don’t need theirs, why the hell should we surrender our fishing grounds ? Mans a traitor . Cheers.
