Got to be the most pussy whipped man ever ! He had everything, he was respected for his military service, he was a “lads lad”, getting pissed up, playing strip pool, wearing a Nazi uniform to a party, his charity for wounded servicemen. Then he married her and it all turned to shit! His grandad Philip warned him, his brother warned him , but he went ahead and become a Californian, woke, wimp ! I get around three seasons from the poly tunnel’s then just buy a new cover. I got two 2x3 metre poly tunnels from Amazon for a total of £100. I got a new cover for another one for £40. Well worth it if you grow a lot of tomatoes, chillis, sweet peppers, cucumbers, etc. Cheers. -

Not quite ! I’m still out lamping and , dare I say it, daywalking. I won’t hold you lads back too much when I come over in the winter, but I’ll happily leave the digging to you ! LOL ! Just renewed my passport to take up an invitation to the Middle East for some big game fishing and running a few desert hares with Salukis. So still a bit life left in the old dog yet ! LOL ! Ah, but what do you consider a “grew” to be ? Theres one man , whose name I can’t allow myself to mention, insists it’s just Scottish shorthand for “Greyhound”. Myself, I consider it to be the term for a first cross whippet/greyhound, which I do not consider to be the same as a non-ped whippet cross greyhound, which will, invariably, have slightly more than 50% of either breeds in its heritage….but, of course, I may just be being pedantic, or far more unlikely , wrong ! His long game isn’t what it was, but he’s still probably in the top four or five with it. His break building , positioning and safety play is up with the very best. Its his first tournament after 5 months off, so he’s bound to be a bit rusty so it’ll be hard work to win it, but there’s still the fear factor other players have when playing him, so I wouldnt write him off yet. I’m really lucky to have a great pal who must be one of the best veg growers in the country. Every year she brings me a van load of plants, a huge selection of toms, chillis , sweet peppers, cucumbers, courgettes, aubergines, pumpkins, kohl rabi, celery, celeriac and specialised plants like Vietnamese coriander and asparagus peas. All I do is repot or prepare the beds for planting. I grow my own onions, leeks, garlic, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, potatoes green beans and Mangetout. Cheers.

Read back through the thread Scotty mate! I’ve got my invite , he’s got his, I’ve took up every invite I’ve ever had , be that to the Cairngorms or to Ireland or Australia or New Zealand or to the UAE or America . Im an old man now but I know a lot of the Irish lads, not personally, but keep in touch with them on line, so it will be great to meet them and hunt with them . It’s what I do, if mC is more comfortable at home, I’ll not denigrate him for that, he makes me smile, and that’s a compliment ! LOL ! Cheers.
