  1. What if it lands on the moons equivalent of Australia and you can only see the moons equivalent of England , what if it lands on the dark side of the moon , there’s a lot of “what ifs “ ! LOL ! You still haven’t answered my question, have the Chinese put a craft on the moon If you genuinely believe no one’s been to the moon and that nothing can leave earths atmosphere, I doubt if I or anyone else could convince you . What WOULD it take to convince you ? Cheers.
  2. My apologies, read it wrong .Cheers.
  3. Now just bring yourself to admit you were wrong about the “failed rockets” and I’ll consider it to be my educational good deed for the day ! LOL ! Cheers.
  4. He spends most of his time on here trying to get me to bite ! LOL ! I can’t believe his comments are serious . Cheers.
  5. Musk didn’t spend a cent to catch a rocket when it fails ! He spent money making the discarded booster stage re-usable by having it return to the ground undamaged. Please, please do even the most basic research before trying to sound clever. Cheers.
  6. You haven’t answered my question, do you believe the Chinese have landed craft on the moon ? As for ballistic missiles, why would you want a missile to go further than 17000 miles ? That’s more than halfway round the world ! Cheers.
  7. The Chinese HAVE landed unmanned craft on the moon ! Or do you not believe that ? Im talking about MANNED missions . Do keep up ! LOL ! Cheers.
  8. I don’t think it’s financially viable for us, Europe, America or Russia to do it. I think the Chinese will probably be the ones to do it. Or even a private individual like Musk. Cheers.
  9. Or, as film director Micheal Curtiz said to Niven and Flynn during the filming of The Charge Of The Light Brigade; “ You bums think I know f**k nothing ! Well let me tell you, I know f**k ALL “ ! Cheers.
  10. “When you hear hoof beats, assume horses, not zebras”! Unless, of course, if you live on the Serengeti……. Cheers.
  11. I’ve been spending my days lately in the bucolic setting of my allotments growing vegetables and raising poultry, so I enjoy the cut and thrust of intelligent discourse on here to achieve a balanced lifestyle! Cheers.
  12. “The advantages of origami for beginners are two fold”. Ancient Japanese saying…… Cheers.
  13. There’s three dogs on that fox so they must be bull X’s ! LOL ! Cheers.
  14. Yes , but what about Schrödinger’s Cat ??? Cheers.
  15. Unless it’s in the quantum realm …….i think ! LOL ! Cheers.
  16. No it isn’t …… Cheers.
  17. “ Do you want the one page argument or the hundred pager ? “. Cheers.
  18. I think “argument “ covers a range of discussions; from civilised debate to aggressive verbal confrontation. I enjoy the former but avoid the latter. What I dislike is when an argument is being lost and the adversary resorts to “what aboutery “ and moving the goal posts, which is usually the modus operandi on here ! LOL ! Cheers.
  19. My daughter used to bring me this Bols Geneva Gin from Amsterdam. Comes in a genuine Delft bottle. Cheers.
  20. I sometimes get a bottle of that from Lidl. As long as you don’t compare it to a high end bourbon its a pleasant enough sipping whiskey or with a splash of cola, ice and lemon or lime . Cheers.
  21. Just think off a 747 cargo aircraft , fully loaded, weighing almost 450 ton, the thrust required to get that in the air is minute compared to a Saturn V thrust. SV India Uniform an aircraft I worked on from new; But I’m afraid we may be physically abusing a deceased equine, as we’ve been through this scenario many times in the past. If someone won’t believe in the moon landings, that’s fine, it’s their opinion or belief, but I’m giving up trying to convince them ! Cheers.
  22. Are you for real ? ”no pictures of earth ” ? Mate, I f you disbelieve everything that’s fine, but do a little research and you’ll find plenty of pictures of earth. I find it strange that you only look for the impossible, never the possible. Cheers.
  23. It’s difficult to describe the Van Allen belt in layman’s terms, but it isn’t a uniform sphere surrounding the earth Very, VERY basically, imagine a donut as the belt and a marble sitting in the hole, as the earth. Im not an astrophysicist, so I can only go by what they tell us, but this may give an idea how a spacecraft can get past the Van Allen belt. Cheers.
