I think this is down to Howe. He’s got Tonali playing more as a defensive midfielder now, even though he scored a great goal last night.
Howe took a failed forward, Joelinton, and turned him into a midfield powerhouse. Trippier is playing as good as he ever has, in the twilight of his career and Big Dan Burn is having the time of his life.
