Just my opinion, but the “Ashley Era” didn’t end, financially, when the Saudis took over. The EPL rushed in legislation specifically FFP and PSR to prevent the Saudis spending enormous sums of money on players. PSR is a three year roll-over legislation, and the Saudis said it would take five years to build up finances under these rules and to end some of the frankly ludicrous sponsorships and bring in more revenue. There was no stadium advertising apart from Sports Direct, who didn’t pay a penny for it. The kit supplier , Castore , paid £5 million a year, now Addidas pay £30 million. The

Not a selling club now , mate, we were last season because of PSR but that’s over now, finances now healthy and a big transfer budget for this season. A few fringe players will be moved onto make places in the 25 man squad available, but the main men are now on longer term contracts and no buy out clauses. More sponsors lined up , a new or extended capacity stadium, I think the hierarchy are getting it right. Cheers.

Seems like one of them, a tree surgeon, was in dispute with the council as he was living on a small plot of land in a caravan without planning permission and they were going to evict him, so him and the other village idiot decided to get back at the council by cutting down the tree. He needn’t worry about being homeless now, they are looking at up to ten years in the big hoose ! Cheers.

I’ve never considered Newcastle v Sunderland a “Derby”. A “Derby”, to me is between two teams from the same city. A very intense, emotional game, tribal even, but not a “Derby”. I’ll be wanting Sunderland to get promoted, as it will be good for the area, but most importantly; 6 points for Newcastle ! LOL ! I know a certain Sunderland supporter will read this and give me stick, but honestly mate, good luck tonight ! Cheers.

The European stuff is just a three league competition now, win division three, get promoted to division two; win division two and get promoted to the Champions League. Newcastle have qualified for the Europa Conference League by winning the League Cup, and are just about certain to qualify for the Europa League by dint of their Premiership position, and have a very good chance of European Champions league. I read somewhere that the Premier could have seven teams in the European Champions League this year ! Cheers.

I’ve never said, and I don’t think, you’re stupid mate . You don’t know the nonsense that went on 15 years ago on here, not just the rabbiting dog v the courser. It was bedlam, it’s very tame on here now compared to back then. A match between mC and Mark would generate many posts and arguments, but, in my opinion, it will never happen. Cheers.

My pal who supplies my plants says she only nips out the side shoots from the bottom of the Tom plant and nips out the top of the main stalk when the plants are about 4 foot tall. Ive always nipped out all the side shoots and let the plants are grow it’s full height but I’ll try her way with half my plants and see how it works out . Cheers.

I grow in poly tunnels and have a strict anti bug regime, so no harm in giving them a helping hand with some pollinating. Some are self pollinating, but I just do them all anyway . Yeah , it used to be a rabbit tail , but easier to sneak one of the wife’s make up brushes than go out and catch a rabbit ! LOL ! Cheers.
