I’ll be flying over, mate. Newcastle-Belfast, less than an hour and about £50 each way. Last time, I drove from Newcastle to Holyhead, ferry to Dublin, then drove to Ballycommon, Offaly. 800 mile round trip not including the ferry . Took two lurcher over with me . This time it’ll be to have a craic with the lads and see their dogs Cheers.

I was with Clint on Saturday, and Bobby, who Aidy got the two big lurcher pups off. He had the sister to those pups with him ;. I talk to Aidy and Rab daily. I hope to come over this winter Sister to Aidy’s pups; Cheers.

I’ve found the new blue slug pellets absolutely useless, and they degrade and leave a sort of hairy, mouldy residue. Im spraying my brassicas with garlic fluid, and I have beer traps, seems to be working up to now.

I don’t think it’s a load of crap Drove, I met up with friends from around the country who have genuine working dogs and we had a great day. We were out in the countryside with like minded people, the judging was just incidental, we didn’t care about it. It slightly annoys me that people denigrate lurcher shows. Just because we go to the odd show doesn’t mean we are “lesser” dog men, we are just meeting up with like minded people…at least we are not summer hunting and bragging about it on social media, and of course I’m not referring to you, as I know you are a genuine lad……. Francie, I like you mate, and I’m not interested in arguments but I love discussion . If this is to “subdue us” wouldn’t it subdue them and their families aswell ? I don’t see the Establishment walking round wearing gas masks ! They are breathing the same air as us ! A good turn out for a local hunt show. Met up with my pals and enjoyed the craic. Rain kept off and had a great few hours. I think the lurcher judge was corrupt as the local deerhound types went home empty handed ! Just joking, I have great respect for anyone who gives up their time to judge and organise these get togethers Cheers.!

From the little I’ve read on this, the government aren’t doing it. They are giving funds to see the feasibly of it. Reading the scientific reports, it seems it’s not very feasible. Even if it could be done in theory, the effects would be minuscule, not dropping the earths temperature by any measurable degree. Scientists and physicists are saying that there could be other benefits found during the experimental phases. But to conflate this with contrails/ chemtrails spraying us with mind altering chemicals is nonsense. Cheers.

Lurchers, terriers, etc. Dont know who’s judging but the last few years I’ve been the judges seemed to know their stuff , apart from the lurcher judges who only gave me second place ! LOL ! Just joking, it’s only a little hunt show where a few like minded people meet up to support the hunt .

Businesses need cash flow though, mate. My local chinky’s was cash only until recently, now they take card……a sign of the times, I’m afraid. I keep some “folding”,as I imagine Wilf might say, plus some gold and shares and other hedges against inflation, but at my age it’s not something I worry too much about. Everything goes to my grandson eventually, and with his modest trust fund and his wealthy other grandparents, I hope his future is assured, but who knows ? Cheers.

My feed merchant has finally started accepting card, has always been cash only. I asked him why and he said there’s only one bank in a 30 mile radius that will accept cash of £1,000 up to a limit of £10,000 per deposit and they charge a handling fee ! He’s asking customers to do a bank transfer instead of card, as he has to pay the card companies a commission. How has it come to this, banks charging you to accept your cash ? Cheers.

I was wondering what that was aswell. Ive never heard of white pudding with raisins before. Up here, and I think in Scotland, white pudding is also called mealy pudding. Cheers.
