I’ve never flew either of them for the simple fact they are two of the very few major airlines the don’t give airline staff discount, stand by or sub load tickets. Fortunately I could get to anywhere I needed without using them . Cheers.

DG is a major base for B52’s , long time ago now , but I was involved in refuelling and replenishing them at Prince Abdullah Airbase in Saudi on their way to and from delivering “shock & awe “ to Baghdad. Ancient aircraft, but still very capable. Cheers.

My pal from Yorkshire came up yesterday with a load of plants for me. About 28 well established green bean plugs, two rhubarb plants and three herb plants, thyme , basil and something I’ve never heard of before, strawberry flavours basil ! Nice in a G & T, so she tells me ! LOL ! Cheers.

Just my opinion, mate, but I don’t think this will spread greatly in the Middle East. Forget the propaganda about all Arabs hating the Jews, they hate Iran even more ! Notice how Saudi and Jordan shot down the Iranian drones but gave Israeli jets access to their airspace for their attack on Iran. Iraq and Syria are in no position to support Iran, Hezbollah and Hamas have been eviscerated, even Qatar , who previously supported Iran are now positioning themselves as neutral peace brokers. I understand it was Irans nuclear facilities, command centres and air defence systems that were hit. Iran launched 100 drones in retaliation but most were intercepted by Saudi ,Jordan and Israel. Cheers.

Pilots last communication with Air Traffic Control just released; “ May Day…lost thrust , unable to climb”. Seems to confirm my thinking that the aircraft stalled, the video seems to confirm this, but I’ll wait until the data recorders are studied. Cheers.

Hi Len, I’m loathe to blame pilot error yet as there isn’t enough information available, that will come when the flight data recorder and the cockpit voice recorder ( the black boxes), have been analysed. What I see, and it is just my opinion on the very little information and videos available, is that the aircraft was struggling to gain altitude, possibly due to lack of thrust, and the crew attempted to increase altitude by increasing the “angle of attack” and , because of the lack of thrust, exceeded the angle caused the aircraft to “stall”. Just my own opinion, but I think Trump bringing RFK Jnr on board was a political master stroke. The Kennedy’s are Democratic icons, many people still revere the memory of John and Robert. For Trump to bring RFK into government allows him to imply that HIS government is a “broad church”. Or maybe I’m just being cynical and RFK really is the best choice to be Americas Health Secretary ? Well over 50 years ago there used to be a gypsy family appear at a lane near Gosforth park , just outside of Newcastle. These weren’t “travellers”, I’d guess they were true Romany ; the man had dark, swarthy skin , green eyes and a sort of ginger Afro ! The woman was a caracature of the old gypsy women that use to come round selling pegs and “ lucky heather “ The kids were barefoot , scruffy, dressed in rags and looked at you with a mixture of bewilderment and distrust.
