    BRICS is just a trade agreement, much like The EU, NAFTA, AUKUS, CPTPP. If they want to have the Chinese Yuan as their currency, so what ? The EU is one of the biggest trading blocks in the world and has its own currency, the Euro. What would happen if the BRICS countries demanded to be paid for their goods in Yuan and America, the EU, the Uk, and all the other nonBRICS countries refused and said they would only pay in their own currencies ?     Talking of Rolex’s, years ago I knew a bloke in the Middle East , his nick name “Dodgy Dave” should give an insight into him. Anyway, his missus wanted a Rolex for Xmas, so he bought a snide one in Thailand, then went to the Rolex dealers in Saudi, where he had bought his own genuine watch, and put on a sob story about the box getting damaged and could they give him a replacement box, which they did. He put the snide watch in the genuine box and gave it to his missus, who was over the moon! Of course the obvious happened and after a short while the snide Rolex packed in. She too

Co-incidentally, Slack was mentioned on the deer/grey thread, that’s his wife standing next to me with one of his old deer/greys, in a veterans lurcher class, the dogs were the veterans I hasten to add, although the handlers could probably be so described also !     At the beginning of last season I thought I’d sharpen my bitch up for the hares on a few golf course/playing field rabbits. She was surprisingly sharp for a 28” deer/grey; caught the first one, turned the second inside out but lost it in a hedge, turned the third one away from the rough but tumbled over, got up and caught and retrieved the rabbit but I could see she was hurt, a sprained wrist ! Took me six weeks to get her right and the irony is I’m a great believer in “horses for courses” and “hounds for grounds” so I had no one to blame but myself ! Cheers.

    I put a post up some years ago entitled “Are Pure Really Pure ?” I traced the lineage of one of my deer/greys back and found the deerhound sire had Ms. Nobles breeding that had , with the permission of the KC , greyhound blood added. I traced the greyhound dam all the way back to “Pilot” in the 1800’s and along the way found “Rough Greyhound” and “ Scottish Greyhound”. So, the Deerhound and the greyhound are fairly closely related in the grand scheme of things. Cheers.
