  1. Moonpig... You'rer either having a laugh; or you should be in a different game....... Honestly !! Cheers.
  2. oh noo by far am i thinking to intro duce any sort of blood into any lurcher, im just asking a queston., why introduce any cross in to a lurcher when the old collie greyhound can do You asked "for any info on the x"... well, if you are in Australia, hunting pigs, and have access to their REAL Great Danes, then they may be a good X......... But here in the UK, there is no possible scenario where a 'Dane would add to a lurcher X ! They cannot run, turn or catch,.. they are prone to more disease than most dogs and have a very limited lifespan !! So basically.. avoid at all cost !! Chee
  3. WHY; OH WHY OH WHY....Would anyone want to introduce 'dane blood into a Lurcher ???? The most useless, eating machine, shit producing dogs we have on these isles !! Please do not even think about this cross !! Cheers.
  4. I'll let Penny answer this. She'll do it truthfully. They may turn out great dogs....but at the end of the day it was an ACCIDENTAL mating...not planned. I'm a big fan of terriers in Lurcher breedind, and own a Beddy X myself...but for you to refer us to a post by Skycat on Airdale X's is wrong. Cheers.
  5. They were an accidental mating, mate. Ask her if she would have done this mating intentionaly. I wish her the best of luck with them, but I'd bet she would be the first to admit they wouldn't be her preffered mating. Cheers.
  6. Get the pup out everywhere and as much time with you as possible ! Still a bit young in my opinion for this season, but don't forget, you've got it for the next ten year or more, so no hurry !! If you don't know the game, then learn along with the dog, it's not rocket science !! Let the dog see the game and slip it !! Easy as !! Get the absolute basics right, and you can't go wrong.. Recall is the most important to me, then retreive...anything else is a bonus with a lurcher ! The most important thing is for you and the dog to have FUN !!! Cheers.
  7. I'd been out there 26 years mate, I was terrified the bird started baiting and hurt itself!! Mahktoum , the ruler of Dubai had just paid $100,000 for it !!! Cheers. PS. That's my "happy face" !! LOL !!
  8. [bANNED TEXT] Ban; Sheik Hamed is a friend of my dauughters, and I visited him a while back. He took me to his Falconry Centre in Dubai, and his Saluki Centre in Abu Dabhi. An absolute top man, who lives for his Salukis and Falcons ! Try and see his film, "Hounds Of Arabia", a good show about Middle East Salukis. Cheers.
  9. Those birds are better looking than the hosties on RyanAir !! LOL !! Cheers.
  10. A few falcon being flown from the U.A.E to Pakistan to hunt Bustard; The dogs would be crated up in the hold. Cheers.
  11. A bit to much terrier blood in that cross for me, but who knows ?? Cheers.
  12. Are those released, dropped, whatever you want to call them, gazelle any different to the "Park Coursing" hares that are trapped then released in an enclosed space, to be coursed by Greyhounds wearing muzzles, in Ireland ????? I don't agree with either.... but each to his own............. Cheers.
  13. We used to fly crate loads of gazelle, (I think they were Thompsons Gazelle), into the Middle East, from africa, for the princes and sheiks to "course" with their Salukis. We also used to fly the dogs and birds abroad, usualy Pakistan, for them to hunt wild gazelle and bustard. Wild gazelle are rare, and protected in most middle east countries, it's supposed to be only Beduin who are allowed to hunt, but the rich guys do whatever they want ! Cheers.
  14. Don't think you're going to make the "Oscars" shortlist with that bit of cinematography !! LOL !! Cheers.
  15. Get it organised, Whin !! I've been to Texas before, but would be up for another hunting trip abroad, especialy if mackem is going ! LOL ! 'bout time me and him met up, we keep missing each other around the world !! Cheers.
  16. Isn't a milli amp 1000th of an amp; so 18,000 milli amp/hr should be the same as 18 amp/hr, I think !! LOL !! Cheers.
  17. again mate stunner i like it alot a lurcher of old She's six year old mate, and running as well as ever...... I was talking to her breeder tonight, and said it would be a travesty not to breed from her; but I don't want to lay her off, as I think she will do well for another few years,. Her breeder has the litter brother, and I may use him over Lima. my Deer/Grey bitch, sometime in the future, to keep the line going. Cheers.
  18. Stunning little thing that mate, whats her hieght She's 23" and runs at a fit 38-40 lb. Cheers.
  19. My little bitch,Delta; Beddy/Grey X Deer/Grey/Whippet.... Not a lot of Deer in her, but an absolute class allrounder ! Cheers.
  20. Well; I'll probably be slagged for putting this pic up AGAIN !! LOL !! But I think it is a classic pic of a Deer/Grey; Cheers.
  21. Dekaw, that's a beautiful dog, and no disrespect, but I doubt it is a Deer/Grey.... looks like theres maybe Beddy in it ?? Cheers.
  22. If you realy want one and want the best, then be prepared to travel !! Do your homework, and don't believe everyone who says they have "genuine first crosses" !! Good luck ! Cheers.
  23. HID isn't worth the bother, or the price !! A Blitz 240 will give you all the light you need for anything in this country ! HID takes time to fire up to full brightness, and the one time I was out with one, I didn;t like the "blue" beam it threw, and even the guy that was using it thought it was no better than the Blitz, even though it cost far more !! This is only my opinion, but it's a lot of money to end up disapointed !! Cheers.
  24. She wasn't bred or brought in for lamping rabbits; but I had her out the other night and to see a 29" Deer/Grey bitch run down the beam, scoop up a rabbit and run straight back to hand with it, filled me with pride, even at my age !! LOL !! Cheers.
