  1. Just west of Newcastle. Two days ago it was -4 and heavy frost. Today it was 13 and not a sign of the frost. If it stays like this for the next couple of days I might move the spring cabbages out of the greenhouse and into a sheltered spot outside. But as I said, the weather could easily change again. Cheers.
  2. Labour were trying to rush it through before Trump gets in next week, but it looks like the Mauritians got greedy and wanted the £9 billion up front instead of £900 million per year and also wanted to reduce the proposed lease on Diego Garcia from 99 years to 55. I simply can’t understand why we should hand over British Sovereign Territory to a country that has no historical claim to them AND pay billions ???? Anyhow, it looks like something going on behind the scenes and Trump Isn’t happy ! Cheers.
  3. It’s like a spring day here, sunshine and blue skies, 13 degrees. A pal has just shown me a picture he took this morning of a pair of foxes tied. Hens are starting to lay, but not counting any chicks just yet, plenty time for the weather to turn again. Cheers.
  4. You god damn pussies; a sexual tyrannosaurus like me could have kept her going for 12 hours single handed ! (in my dreams, LOL !). Cheers.
  5. An essential ingredient in a rabbit stew or a game pie. A sort of turnip that tastes like celery. Cheers.
  6. How’s that for a prize celeriac ? Cheers.
  7. Ace Of Spades Dragline Bucket (not Big Geordie) in Stobswood - Fabulous North FABULOUSNORTH.COM The scoop bucket used from the now dismantled Ace Of Spades dragline excavator. I know the area well. Lots of good running dogs from around there, Lurchers and Whippets. I well remember all the whippet racing tracks back in the 60’s and 70’s. Cheers.
  8. Absolutely true ! Ive had running dogs a long time and still get that excitement when my latest dog makes its first catch as I did when my first dog did ! Cheers.
  9. Someone will be trawling through 700 pages right now ! LOL ! Cheers.
  10. Question should be “why would over 1,000 men risk getting an std or aids ?”. Cheers.
  11. Like most young people, I didn’t think about or plan for my future. Due to being in the right place or at the right time, lucky breaks, coincidence, having bosses that saw something in me, working hard and studying hard, fate allowed me to go places, do things, see things that I may never have done. I’ve had tremendous “ups” and catastrophic “downs” , but I’m a stoic and a bit of a fatalist and I’m still here very fit and healthy for my age and quite contented with my life. My only slight worry is that I may not be around long enough to impart my knowledge and experience on to m
  12. When you smile indulgently at someone who is talking utter shite, and not tell them to “shut the f**k up you idiot……”. Cheers.
  13. Be interesting to see what sentence these two get. They’ve been arrested “ on suspicion of criminal damage” but not charged as yet. Im, sadly, expecting a community order or suspended sentence. I personally think desecrating a grave, inside a church is way, way above spraying paint on Barclays Bank windows or disrupting traffic. I honestly can’t comprehend how anyone could think this was a right thing to do. They kind of remind me of all those zealots who were persuaded to drink the Kool Aid in the Jonestown massacre. Cheers.
  14. Retired school teaching assistants apparently. I dread to think what they were teaching the children. Cheers.
  15. Desecrating a grave inside a church isnt protest. If they had been standing outside the church with placards, that’s protesting. I don’t understand their mindset, do they really believe desecrating the grave of one of Britains most famous people will garner them support ? I very much doubt it, I think most people will be appalled. Cheers.
  16. Today and tomorrow, but most visible in the Southern Hemisphere. Cheers,
  17. Just Stop Oil protesters have just desecrated Charles Darwin’s grave. Gone to far ???? Cheers.
  18. Jack rabbit is a hare. Cottontail is a rabbit. Bugs Bunny is really a hare . Yanks, eh ? Cheers.
  19. I’ve told you before, for us a day trip to Roker Sands or Seaburn was like a trip to some foreign, exotic land ! LOL ! Cheers.
  20. I may have told this tale on here before. First time I applied for visas for Australia, my wife was accepted straight away, but I kept getting rejected , and it cost £26 each time . I asked my airline to get me a crew visa, it it also got rejected. So I phoned my son who was a diplomat at the British Consulate in Saudi at the time. He called his Australian counterpart in Dubai who rang me back. I explained the situation to him and he put me on hold. He then asked if I had a middle name, I said no, then he asked me to fax a copy of my passport with my photo. He called me back
  21. “Deny, change the subject, blame your accuser”; classic anti interrogation techniques, maybe Juke was in the Special Forces ? LOL Cheers.
  22. I’d be the ugliest one ever… and there’s some real ugly rug munchers ! Cheers.
  23. Wasn’t she also a Tiller Girl dancer or suchlike ? Cheers.
  24. I think you’d make a better Speaker than that traitorous little dwarf Bercow , and the coward Lynsey Hoyle who allowed himself to be bullied by Labour or “Gorbals Mick” Martin. I see you more as a Betty Boothtoyd, the best Speaker I’m my lifetime. Cheets.
