  1. I getcha some partner. Give me a day or so. I'm busier than a 1 legged man in an ass kickin contest right now.
  2. My daughter started training the secret weapons today. I'm hoping over the next few years they can show yall a buncha dead coyotes. She took the momma and 6 lil gyps for a long long walk.
  3. So you are saying that a deerhound is rougher than a collie?
  4. Both but I'm not from down there. I just had a really good buddy in S. Louisiana that I used to go hunt with.
  5. Not sure if swamphunter eats its but I'm guessing he does. I personally like wild hog just fine. Its a darker red pork then your traditional domestic hogs. We used to cut the nuts off the boars and turn em back loose or we would cut em and my buddy would take em home and flush em out with corn and water for a month or so and then eat them. The sows was good to go though right away.
  6. How can you say that and even be half serious?
  7. Nice job bro! Not sure we have ever spoke before.
  8. Besides he aint a rocket or nothing he is as good as I've ever seen just about. I cant see anybody not being happy with him.
  9. Just think what would happen if you took an American Stag Hound and substituted it for the Greyhound. You would have a much slower dog though Dan, i,v had a couple of 3/4 GH 1/4 DH's and as a Hare dog i couldnt have wanted more, i keep smaller dogs these days but still 3/4 cross's, atb, buster. I wasn't gonna comment on this cuz most folks just assume I'm being a dick and arguing with them when nothing could be further from the truth but you seem to be one that can handle it so here it goes. Just a simple question for ya since you seem to believe that a pure greyhound bred to a

  11. Dont you think they would be liable to open up Dan, i,v watched trail hounds run in the lake district, stamina packed and tough as old boots but boy do they make a racket, not a good trait if you happen to have no sence of direction , atb, buster. Ya you know some of them will but I'll be honest I got a dog gone half cross here at my right now out of a bulldogxairedale gyp bred to my Stitch dog I used to have and that sumbitch gets to squeakin and a squakin when you get in the timber ground and he comes unsighted but I had a hound cross here that never said a damn word ever. Some of
  12. If you were in England and you're simply speakin of a first cross of a pure track greyhound and another breed you would be hard pressed to find anything more durable than a foxhound cross. As a matter of fact I don't think you would find anything more durable cuz they are about as tough as they get.
  13. There aint very many around here at all. the english brock billy at 50 pounds no dog single handed would kill yote hounds would jack the english badger is defo more forbiddable than the yote just a thought I have no idea but I do know that good dogs are made for certain quarry and most of the single handed pig dogs that most have seen would never catch a coyote let alone be able to fight it once they were that winded if they ever did get there.
  14. Agreed! 34 inch dogs trying to run is pure comedy in and of itself.
  15. Wolverines? HAHA! That one prolly wouldn't work out so well for ya. As far as Fishers go I have heard of houndsmen running into them but you aint gonna catch em with sighthounds too awful easy.
  16. I wish I could answer your question with a precise answer but unfortunately I cant. I just think some dogs have certain styles about them and certain styles will work really well for one critter but not so much for another. Young immature coons that aint to big are a walk in the park but a big ole boar coon in January is another story but any good dog will handle it but finding that dog aint always so easy.
  17. Ya there are dogs here that are great on coyotes but maybe not so hot on a coon and then the exact opposite can be true too. Just depends on the dog.
  18. Ya I think you might be onto something. HAHA! Great post. It's unbelievable what you see at game fairs here people taking 7+ dog up so they have a dog to race in every class most of them being full greyhounds or very near it and eloctrolytes the give to a dog before a race when all it's doing is sprinting for 300 yards and back in the trailer. They take it far to serious and all they win is a bag of dog food and a rosette. Can't understand why they don't race greyhounds at least there would be good money in it for winning Cuz 99% of them don't wanna spend the money that it takes to
  19. I usually do spell it right. If I didn't then I screwed up but normally I do spell it Wheaten.
  20. Ya no shit cuz 99% of the reason most dogs are no good anymore is cuz assholes like that got their hands on them. I see it happening to the coyote dogs over here right now actually. For so many years a buncha good ole boys out west and up in Canada had them and nobody touched them or fooled with them. The men judged them hard and the dogs were living proof of this but nowadays you see it changing. Adding this or that to them to just add it and then NOT making damn sure it worked. Truth be known nothing could beat a greyhound at this game if the greyhound was up to the job but so few of th
