  1. I think somebody was in the mulberry tree.
  2. We loped a bit yesterday but it was pretty hot for the dogs so not a whole lot. Plus the fact that our mules just aint right yet. They need about 30 or 40 miles put on em at a lope over the next couple weeks to get em where they will set right in and come up and do it right. Nothin gripes my ass worse than when they are fresh and wanna race horse and run instead of settin up and doin it right. Two ball games left this week and then we will have more time on our hands to get them legged up a bit and make em right. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P5iHyOUgDwQ

  4. Abby helpin her little brother back up. John had decided to lay in the creek on us for a bit longer than usual and I sent Abby back at a lope to see where he was and that crupper already rubs Samuel's ass a bit raw. HAHA! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BPX9JHFV3Mg

  6. The kids and I finally got a chance to go for a short ride yesterday afternoon. Our mules are so fat that they make me sick but with ball games literally 5 to 6 days and nights a week it makes it hard to do anything. Couple that with three times as much rain as usual around here and the days one can go riding are pretty slim. I think we went about 2 weeks ago or so and maybe a time or two before that but it just aint been a good summer so far. Anyhow, we finally got to go out and take the dogs with us. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wpyyeFr9Pgs
  7. I'd cull at least four of them if not 6 and then I'd keep what I wanted and give them to folks ya know for free or just the cost of them gettin bred and raised.
  8. think i would prefer a dog that would catch and hold on anywhere especialy if it was mob handed get one then and hunt it and watch it quit I'd prefer a 6 foot blonde with big fake titties too but most of them are f****n all your buddies too.
  9. Ya, speed is a huge issue but chimp trust what I'm tellin you here. 90% of them aint gonna kill like what I'm talkin about. I'm not sayin they are shit at all cuz I know they are good at what they do but trust me, these coyote dogs(the good ones anyhow)are f****n murderers man. They aint playin around at all. I'd say alot of bullcross would spend more time locked jaw to jaw with a coyote than it would take a good coyote dog to trip throat and kill. Speed and power play a very important role in killin a coyote. These are not slow critters, they will run and fight a dog off like nothin you
  10. Two really good dogs only about 5 to 10 minutes at the most. Two "just dogs" never. It all depends on the dog. My yella dog can kill a coyote single handed in less than 10 minutes almost always. Its not a fight though at all, its just a matter of blood flow and oxygen depletion. Any dog that "fights" a coyote to death will quit. Maybe not now, maybe not later but soon enough to make you realize just how shitty he or she is. Two really hard core dogs like John and Stitch on a coyote, it would be dead within five minutes I'd say if they were young, healthy and fit but they are
  11. The last one we took that day the dogs were really knackered and just didnt have the energy to kill it, in the end I ran it down myself tripped it and stuck the knife in. Had a similar thing happen on one run, we saw a lame coyote in the distance hopping on three legs it saw us and started heading away. The ground we were on was split by dozens of dirtroads with bar ditches and we had to keep crawling through them with the truck, as a consequence we couldnt outdrive a 3 legged coyote, stupid I know but there you go it was always about 800yds or more away. We let the dogs out and figured the
  12. Your whole post was great first of all. Secondly I just wanna commend you for understanding. I do want to let you know that there are dogs out there so fast and so explosive and powerful though that the human eye cannot hardly tell that they were avoiding the sharp end but after dozens of kills and a dog never gettin a hair harmed on his or her perty little head one has to come to the conclusion that they dont like the sharp end at all.
  13. stunt, I always like lookin at him bro. Just like the looks of him.
  14. dirtwinger, I did 6 coyotes in two days with my dogs last winter and I'll tell you this, I werent even gonna think about doin the 7th cuz I would have been emberassed. If they all were young healthy dogs and my male dog wasnt so crippled up, 8 or 10 in two days would not be out of the question but sometimes you gotta use your head a little even though its extremely hard for me on account of me being dropped on it too many times by momma.
  15. Any good coyote dog that is gonna remain good has a slight "avoid the sharp end" factor. I aint talkin bout cowards or nothin but if a coyote dog dont learn to kill without gettin hammered he wont be a coyote dog for long. He'll just be a bay dog or one that gets to go out about every 3 weeks. These coyotes dont half bite when they take a hold. They kill for a living and they have jaws as powerful as these big dogs that we are running them with and canines to spare.
  16. DAMN! You have done a great job raisin her up. I commend ya.
  17. ratkilla-Thats what I thought. Dan-Thats "Big Johns" momma... Take care. Now, I have to go look.
  18. Stunt, I'm gonna analy rape you with a 2x4.
  19. Picture of the crew last night before we went out to get some leggin up time and then a pic of Cotton that I cropped just cuz she's cool. HAHA!
  20. I've seen Stitch get bit in the foot and get so f****n mad that I thought he was gonna push the coyote through to China. The good thing is that I seen his daughter get bit in the foot just like that this year and she acted just like her daddy.
  21. Kye.......lion = spear fella, bear = knife.
  22. Oh NO! He dont need me anymore. LOL! Nice pics my man. I love that big blue f****r, and thanks again for sending him to me.
  23. my problem is with the ignorance of people who have not a clue about the game in question, the nature of the beast, or the culture of the country in which it resides have a drink on me
