    theres a masive difrence between running on it,,, and crossing it,,, ive never seen any dog run properly across the big 2 foot high stuff thats dry........... I agree 100%..........it aint pretty at times but I have seen some that would shock you at it as I'm sure you have too.

    I've seen cur dogs catch rabbits too and I got a buddy that had one that caught a jack rabbit now and again but that dont make me wanna go tell folks that breed dont matter, its how much heart the dog has.

    All I ever use is straw and I dont ever seem to have problems. My dogs are healthy and they hold up.

    I have no problem with any cross of dog at all cuz it really dont matter that much but...............what I do have a problem with is when people feel that a certain type of dog is gonna be the answer to it all. Pointer x Greyhound for example. I like it, like it alot actually but I know they aint gonna be the end all and be all. Whippet x Ridgeback..........sure why not but under no circumstance should anybody kid themselves about the romantic notion that these dogs are gonna be some kinda super dog that kills rabbits to "lions".
