    Bairns out this morning, met my sister with her pug and went up the wee hill for the first time since Before Christmas, nice and quiet, folk on the airfield flying gliders and a dead fox that the terrier found was all we seen,

    That’s what was going through my mind, dare I say it’s classed as discrimination against certain breeds/ dog type owners? I mean they couldn’t even go down the hunting dog types as at least 70% of dog breeds could be classed as that.

    Of isolating I can get the dugs a half decent walk… first thing I see when I park up was the sign, what constitutes “suspicious” and how would it differ from the posh boy who hadn’t seen his two weemememeers (weimaranera) for half an hour after they took off after deer? Does he get reported? it’s getting to the stage beyond silly now. anyway good to get a couple of miles in with the dugs.

    I had it a few years back, the person who owned the house that looked onto the permission phoned the police, police appeared at the gate and tried to summon us, they got told no danger they want to speak to us they come to us, it was fairly amusing watching them tippy toe through the muddy field trying their utmost best not to get manky!! also know of someone who bolted a rabbit in front of the police and they warned him not to kill it so he necked it and they charged him with killing a hare…. even worse he didn’t contest the charge ??

    Cheeky wee Friday off so had arranged to meet Joe and his dug Glen for 7ish this morning and first light. I had Jess and 4 ferrets and joe had 3 of his. Laid a fair few nets on the first bit between us and got 3 off it, Jess marked well and again held in the nets, still better than nothing. moved along a bit and dogs again marked spot on, took 6 off that bit between us with only 1 dog required. Glen as always is reliable and steady but was chuffed with Jess, marked and worked like she’s been at it for years. penny has well and truly dropped.

    Since Roxi passed, bittersweet coz it’s also my Bairns birthday, Codie has been gone 5 years end of March, miss and think about them every day

    When I was a wee boy I kept my first 2 jills in a hutch in my room, Room was honking and when they got out for a run about they would shite under my bed… My old dear was going absolutely radge!! ??. Never again
