I personally would not make a complaint to the police. not worth the hassle mate. I carn't be ar$'d typing the reasons why as its gettin' a bit late for me but all I'll say is...my father-in-law complained once about the police to do with his car, he regretted it for a long time with loads of hassle and stops.

The majority of cats I saw in our garden of our last home were sh*towses while I shot the rats, my neighbour would catch some in his cage, one evening while we chatted over our low fence, the cage with a rat trapped inside was placed about ten feet away from us, one cat passed the cage and the rat cut its own face on the wire as it dived at the cat, the cat was looking in the opposite direction of the cage as it passed by not daring to even look at the rat. -

I'm not a lover of cats at all, they shyte all over our garden, I've tried all sorts, the cats end up eating them seriously! putting rags dipped in vinegar seems to be working. Couldn't harm one tho, its all down to the owners, they just don't give a toss about where they dump, as long as its not in their garden. These owners should be made to clean the catcrap up like dog owners do, I wanna know why not. Someone's gonna say they are feral, if they are, what the f*** are they doing living in someone's home.? -

I used a BSA Meteor springer a lot in the past, then 18 months ago I bought a second hand Daystate Harrier, had it serviced and blued, its brilliant, not put many pellets through it yet but the difference is amazing, I feel like a sniper. I found the springer done its job fine, its knowing how to use them, a neighbour owned a Webley Vulcan at the time, his eyesight was A1, much better than mine but he couldn't hit a barn door, my youngest lad (25yrs) can take his hand to anything pretty quick yet I can out do him for shooting and I regard myself as just about average. First of all Buster, bit of advice mate for God's sake don't go near any canal with a gun, any gun. Have a search on the site for BSA Meteor, you can get one cheap and shoot all the rats yer want, I did, crackin' springer, my son has it now and still its grabbin' the rats. You need permission to shoot on land outside yer own garden and when shooting in yer garden, make sure the neighbours know about it or you'll be gettin' plent of visits from the police. Through today, happy days now I want a Father Xmas to take me on some land they have, never shot a pellet outside me gardens but done in hundreds of rats in me time. Anyone who would like a bit of company (I do own me own flask ) and wants to show off their field skills to someone, I'm yer old man.

I'm gonna invest in a sling shortly, maybe temorra go on a jaunt to Target Sports, I have been enquiring about the Cheater sling, are there any others out there that don't need swivels to attach to the rifle?

I'd like to add.. I've been on the "net" for donkeys years, I know how it all works, I like to wind some up in a friendly sort of way, you have to realise its only words, I like to chill out on the "net" when I've finished work (the care system, disruptive behaviour). What Deker meant to say Ducky was on the forums, capitals is regarded as shouting at other users, lower case is the norm. If yer wanna bollick Deker then use yer caps.

I had the Meteor (my son owns it now) shot hundreds of rats to 25 ish yards, day and night, after putting a new Ox mainspring in, it was an excellent cheap rifle.
