  1. My lurcher was stolen today in the nottingham area hes a sandy coloured dog 3years old and stands about 27 to 29 inches hes a suluki grey X deerhound grey. his micro chipped. if anyone has seen a dog let me no!! he was stolen abit ago and we found him in stamford area!! thank you

  7. hey up mate just a tip if you want to use the trammel net for netting at night stick to the longnet mate!! trammel are more hardered to get rabbits out in the dark!! a long net is just as effeicent!! cheers will

  10. hey up julia im also currently making my first long net been doing it for the last 2 month on and off but nearly finish now done about 70 yards! only 10 yards to go!! just remember to make the mesh twice as long as the net you want to make (50yrd of mesh to make 25yrd net) have fun will

  14. hey bullet does that mean the grand old long netters would hate the idea of quickset long nets or would they think this is easier and quicker way to catch dinner??!! im all for keeping the old traditional methods!! but sometimes when you need a rabbit for the pot you just do the easiest method!! i have not even used my nite vision with the longnet, only for the research before i go out netting so i can see which way the rabbits naturally run at night. cheers will

    hi everyone i have always loved to go out with a hawk to do abit of ferreting just to watch a hawk at work!! if it not to much hassel if anyone in the nottingham area does falconry i would love to come and watch i have experience in ferreting! thanks will cox
  16. hey up dogtilly i brought my night vision for the main reason for foxes! got bored of not being able to see the foxes that my mate was shooting with his sako 22-250 and this ex-army nite vision gen 4 thats a bit of kit. but now using my NV of long netting
  17. the night vision i got is a bushnell stealth gen 2. i thourght it would be handy just scan fields before dropping nets as there is not a lot of rabbits around my area!

  22. hi guys thanks for the advise!! the reason in leavin the quickset is:- LAZY (any tom dick or harry can use it!!!) not easy to carry ( over barbwire fences/through hedges) lack of skill can be noisy and the main reason is wheres the history on quickset longnets!!?? i would like to hear more people keeping the old traditions in life!!!!!!! sorry if i sound sad but i would like to pass down old traditions to any younger generation when im older!! cheers will
  23. hi i have been netting for a couple of years now. but only with a 100yard quickset net with some success! im going to start netting at night more often this season but with a traditional net!! any advice is a great help!! i have read the art of long netting. cheers will
