  1. Tuna have been visiting the Swedish part of the north sea lately.
  2. Nice Gav how fast are you driving them? I havn`t thought about shooting lead slugs in my .308w but I may try in my 300blk . I know a hunter who are casting 9,3mm and are using them for moose in 9,3*62.
  3. What do you think sizing the cases 0,5mm are to much? Messuring the lenght on the ogive will give you a more precise messure but your seating die will give the cartridges a lenght based on the shape of the cup inside them anyway.
  4. Why do you need to messure the shoulder bump? If your rifle have fired the cases you just might need to necksize them or to partial size them. If you use them in several different rifles just full lenght size them so you dont have problems in your AR. What are CBTO? If you want to messure the coal take an fired case pressure the neck with a tool or against your bench so it can hold a bullet, chamber it , push it out with a cleaning rod and messure the lenght.
  5. Great to have the gun working again. You dont need to repaint it, some people pay extra for the battle worn finish.
  6. Wow thats cheap rifles they would cost over 1000$ in Sweden. An old hunting .32/8mm percussion rifle could be found for about 700$ in Sweden.
  7. Friends at the 100m range two Model 1867 12,7/50-70 Husqvarna Rolling blocks one model 1860 percussion rifle.
  8. 2100 works for hunting. You need to get a blackpowder rifle the smell and smoke cloud after a home cast bullet would be like heaven. A .45LC model 92 or a 45-70G Marlin would be inexpensive, a percussion rifle are also easy and cheap to load.
  9. He has a great result with both powders. I will try one of these powders but american powders have spotty availability so I need to have good loads with european powders too. I dont need a expensive Barnes bullet as .300blk are not allowed for game bigger than roedeer and beaver (32kg/65p). For game of 100p as Fallow deer (similar size as whitetail) a 140gr bullet at 2740 are the minimum. Just bought 100 Hornady 300blk cases for 1050sek/130$. Barnes x 110gr ttx bullets costs 55$ for 50, one pound of Win/Hodgdon powder cost 75$.
  10. Hodgdon Trail boss could be used to take the speed down to 1100. A hard cast bullet can take speed maybee up to 1500fps.
  11. Dont you have to keep the velocity down will they repeat in an ar? Its 09:23 here
  12. They look great. What rifle are you going to shoot them in? What kind of owen are you using for the powdercoating?
  13. I buy 300blk brass as I dont have a cheap source of .223. 223rem are not so common here in northern Sweden.
  14. I dont think its the forend it doesn`t have much springtension and its a thick 18mm barrel. It could be it like 220gr bullets instead of 120s with a .26" freeflight. I will try 115-125gr target bullets with a different ogive later then i want to play more with it.
  15. I will try to load more of N120 19gr are filling a bit of the neck, the cold are not helping my shooting tecnic. H110 will still give more speed with 110-125gr bullets. The only bullet iam pleased with the precision are 110gr sierra hp , the Lapua 123fmj are ok and the rest have not lived up to my expectations.
  16. I have chronografed some loads 123gr Lapua fmj 2225fps (H110) 2011fps (VV N120) the Hodgdon H110 load are at max pressure vise, Vihtavouri N120 will overfill the case before to high pressure are reached. It was a cold day -15c. Rem 110gr 2267 (H110) This morning we have -18c here. I hope i reach the range to resight in my tikka today i got the scope loose on a hunt.
  17. Norway pays more for their deal with EU per citizen than UK payed to be within.
  18. "Can you imagine the Americans letting the Mexicans set their monetary policy, or letting the Canadians over rule the American Supreme Court ? Of course not, it's just a free trade agreement that suits all three." US are united states a block of similar size as EU.
  19. An empire last about 200 years Britains ended with ww1 , wake up and get used to the new reality. British £ down 10% against sek this year. UK stockmarket down also about 10%.
  20. In Sweden we have had socialist or liberal governments for 90 years no one has taken any Guns. Its 110-120 million gunowners in US it would be political impossible to take firearms from legal gunowners.
