Dear Adam Ward & Sons was started in 1824 by James Ward, one of my relatives. By the late 1800's my great great grandfather Henry Arthur Ward was running the business. Ward & Sons exported most of their guns to N America and were targeting the lower end of the market. Ward & Sons shotguns are well made but are not expensive or highly sought after, unfortunately. It probably would cost a lot more to repair the shotgun than it is actually worth but I would be interested in purchasing your father's gun, without repair, because my family made it.
