    Think that’s where it comes down to different types of lads owning them. If I’m gifted a pup I’ll always Chuck the lad something to take his mrs for a night out, or something like that. But if you buy a top end coursing type, travel all over to run it, pick fines up etc, you should be doing that purely for the love of it, and you should only really breed from it because you want a pup out of a dog you think highly of. You shouldn’t be breeding it thinking right ive put X amount in to this dog so I want X amount back for the pups. If you’ve got a dog you think a lot of and a litter of pups

    No difference at all, if a person breeds pet dogs and does it right there’s absolutely no problem. If the bitches get looked after & don’t get the arse bred off them. Bitches get a good life, pups get well reared, nice families get a nice puppy, and the breeder makes a few quid out of it that the government don’t get their greedy claws in to in the form of taxes.     They won’t be, they’ll be kenneled as if they’re a working dog, but they won’t be worked, usually because the lads that have got them are terrified to do a bit of freelancing. Most these lads that barely ever go would be flat out 2/3 times a week if they had loads of permission. Also they like to come on sites like this and make out they do plenty dog work, so they can impress people they don’t know and will never meet. Strange eh.

    I’d never condone it but to be honest they’re not going to make the lurcher gene pool any worse are they, how can it be any worse. It’s so difficult to find a decent pup out of hard worked parents these days because when you scratch beneath the surface a lot of the well known lurcher men with good names are just as bad as the people that put that advert up

    People are outraged by things like this but when coursing “legends” knock out a litter at £1000-1500 a pup people are scrambling to get one. No difference between them to me anyway

    You’ll find as well that most decent dog lads wouldn’t let their dogs line any bitch for a few quid, and definitely not 6 in a month. Just my opinion on stud dogs were all different

    90% is being kind. Whole foundation of these big name fenland masterpieces is built on lies, dirty tricks & massive egos. Stick to your home bred lurchers and give coursing lads a wide berth is a good general rule to go by. They’re not all full of shit but you’ll go a long way to find an honest one.

    I’ve tried few brands of bag food high end and cheaper and settled on none of them, old fashioned brown bread, meat, tripe, fish, veg, plenty liquids and a good multivitamin. Along with good housing & plenty exercise, job done

    Spot on plenty would think nothing of buying nice food or takeaways for themselves but grudge buying decent food for their dogs, then they’ve got the cheek to complain when the dogs don’t run right. Never their fault though always shit dog, shit breeding etc.

    Pet food suppliers will be getting their beef from the same slaughterhouse as you, mixing it up with fat and probably a bit of pork then doubling their money on it, I get mine from a slaughterhouse and it’s bang on, better than any pet food supplier I’ve used. Get proper fresh tripe as well not the bagged shit they sell.

    Hear it all the time this dog gets ran 7 days a week but for me walking the fields round the back of your house with a handheld LED & running a couple of rabbits or a hare doesn’t count as going out, it’s just walking your dog with a torch. I’ll do 2 good trips a week with a dog and it’s glad for a couple of days rest in between when it’s been ran right
