Firstly, welcome to the forum Yorkshire hunter, i know your from Yorkshire & i am from Lancashire but hey welcome anyway It has been said before & it will be said again paranoia is rife on here, i know we have to be careful sometimes about what we post but if anyone does submit a post that you think is a bit out of the blue, DON'T just start to rip into them about being anti. When i first joined the forum i was asking people for there input, then as a thank you i offered a free shoot day, straight away the post came back "you don't get nothing for free in this world", "so

  8. Congratulations Bud, i am 36, me & the wife was blessed with a beautiful daughter at the beginning of the year in January( i only had a little part to play in the production) it changed my whole outlook on life & yep she eats what we do, Pheasant, rabbit, partridge, venison, what ever the wife cooks she always blends some up for her & she loves it. I hope it all goes well for you & your wife, keep us informed & remember what ever she says in labour, she means it, but don't argue with anything Good luck

  16. Does anybody believe that the R.S.P.C.A release foxes back into the wild in big numbers, the reason i ask is two weeks ago we went out for a night & managed to releive my land of 8 foxes in one night, went out again last night & managed to get another six but we spotted 14 . Today i was speaking to a local chap Who shall we say knows just about everything within a 20 mile radius what is going on & he tells me that some have been released. Now i don't want to wipe them all out but i have pheasants, partridge & other live stock to take care of & fox on my land isn't

  21. If as Alimac says beaters start to demand a price the smaller shoots will disappear people will normally ask to join a line on your shoot & will be made aware of the days pay, nobody is forced to do it, but thats not to say beaters are not a valuable part of the shoot because they are & i myself love to join the beaters. If we are doing driven shoots the beaters get £20 for the day plus a bird each & lunch, i normally have around 15 days in the season if the beater attends 6 or more shoots he or she can attend the beaters free shoot day towards the end of the season, what i have fo
