    Shows were of great impotence in the breeding world at one time, as it was a chance for the finest specimens to meet and breed best to best etc, today they are littered with train wrecks and as long as your a member of a said clique you'll be ok. I used to regularly veiw dog shows and many times picked all the winners (depending on judge). Breeding has become a cruel joke in this country today, the show ring has much to blame IMO.

    Well so far im having a blinding season with the Bee's, really grafting they are. Ive placed hive swarm traps (thornes) on four of my hives and have four back up hives at the ready. Really interested in this method as it seems a lot more natural for the hive IMO. Hows you all getting on so far folks?? Yours in sport D

    I was given a peach tree last year, was told to put it on a south facing wall and to cover it with a wind breaker in the winter, i was also told to pollanate it myself (which ive done) but dont think this was needed anyway. Its blooming nice this year so we will soon find out. The old guy i had it off claimed massive crops per year, but he advised to strip a percentage of the fruit off early so the goodness can go into the ones left. ATB D Just to add this was in a narrow cavity approx 14inches and about two feet high so i cant see a problem if the pots big enough, just remeber pot

    Went to see him in town tonight, well worth the 18 month wait (from when i brought tickets). Other than ranting at school teachers (which was great payback for many LOL), the guy never had a bad word to say about anyone, no insults etc.. Funny as feck, my jaw, throat and belly are still aching from luaghter. Genius!! Anyone else see the Tour that doesnt tour- tour?? ATB D

    :laugh: Good call i say. It was my own damn fault i was working in my fruit cage after an inspection, i ignored several warnings Derrr!! Funny thing is ive been thinking of that guy who died last year myself, so easy done if you get complaicent. I can hand on my heart say that every sting ive had so far (and theres been a few) all could have been avoided. But glad to say im slowly learning a valuable lesson. ATB D

    OUCH!!! Straight in the eyebrow, both eyes gone up like balloons, piriton for me and a wee reminder that i am not God . Have to say of the many stings ive had none of them compared to this one, felt like i had my head in a vice. (reminder to myself, MUST ware vail) All forgiven, after all there working so hard.     If you were going to vote for a right wing party as way of protest, who would be the safest choice? As recent news reports have suggested, people can change the way countries are run by sticking together (if they really want it). ATB D
