  4. i have a 3/4 saluki 1/4 greyhound bitch how i would class as an outstanding allrounder every quarry during the day and night consistantly . Pheashant and partridge pegged through they day retreived on shot days will not touch a fox but never really have the chance around my way so not really a problem to me
  5. ploughs not for me mate if my dogs would never be slipped on it end of. stubbles fine for my 2 and i never even considered flint to be honest
  6. Thought i would start a thread on differant ypes of ground you run your dogs on. My bitch an dog get run on a variety of stubble ( my favourite),flat fields not that big nothing compared to the fensand rough grass land. all this land on the lamp and during the day. Never given any thought of the dogs running on plough or heather. Plough because i think there feet would take to much of a beating and with heather i think there is to many hidden pit falls to make it worth it as my dogs are out every day or every second at least during the season and i cant afford them to be layed of for to long
  7. each to there own lads mine dont see a rabbit till seven months then give them a dropper once a month or so till there 12 months then PREBAN 18 months till they seen a hare then 2 or 2.5 till they seen deer or fox Preban i am talkin this is what my uncle did so i just followed suit .i think there is logic to both side of the arguement so am just siting on the fence here
