  5. hi all, has anybody got or heard of a converted rat catcher? i have been offered one, second hand, £60! bit to expensive if you ask me as the safety is broken and half the silencer is missing, and it's got one of those shoddy scopes on it but, if i was to by it i would really want it converted to either a bigger bottle or a re fillable as it does 50 shots, first 25 at 8.72flb, next 10 at 7.84 and then starts to decrease raPIDLY, AND TRUST ME, these bottles are tiny and VERY expensive! if any one with info could get back to me asap as we have it on a try before you buy sort of thing. Thanks

  7. I've got some live catch traps set for rats and i often fing them set off but upside down or out of place. i have seen a baby fox in the area very recently. should i assume its the fox doing this? and dunno whether thats why but have had the traps set for a week or or more now and still nuthing. am i doing something wrong. i'm pretty sure theres rats there, i check traps twice a day, bait regularly. covered em in surrounding debbri?! i mean on a rating of 1-10 10 being the most, how sensitive does it need too be?! thanks Corky
  8. could it be that the tunnel was there when the tree stood and so was the "couch"? in which case, could it be a squirrel or something along those lines that lives/nests in tree's? maybe the tree has rooted from inside out(reason it fell) which made it easy for the squirrel/other to burrow down there and make homew? just a thought? all the best ditch Corky

  13. Hey everybody, recently i made two live squirrel/rat traps, using similar blueprints to that of a design on here. only problem is, i want to catch squirrels for the pot, but i need to know if they can escape. so theres a factory estate thing near me with rubbish everywhere full of rats so i was gonna test durability with rats, if ya get my drift. thers plenty of food, etc and i know its choco block full of the rats. but i need to know where i should set these traps. ie how to recognise a rat run, feeding hotspots, best time to see rats. total newbie to trapping rats or squirrels as i'm a ferr
  14. Thts looks betterthan my bedroom! lol. am sure that takes some cleaning out, or do they Sh1t in one corner? mine just seem to go down one side but mine are in a gravel based court and so i just hose it all down. easy cleaning!
  15. Ave just pimped my ferrets court. was a big enclosure/cage with sooil bottom but made for a pain in the ass to clean, so i swapped. dug down 3 foot, filled it in with pea gravel. now i just hose it all down twice a day. doesn't smell, easy to clean, no irritation. but if they're in a hutch type set up obviosly this is no good.
  16. wabbithunter, lol, what the hell do you type in to find these video's man. your always posting crazy ferret vids. do you spend all your time on youtube?!?! lol the thing is the ferrets just sit there. i'd bite the fecker who tried to dress me up like that!!

  18. yeah, great help guys, thanks alot. could you replace the anchor pins with permananet pegs?, ie instead of attaching it to an anchor pin, atttach a peg so you just push in the end pegs and then put in the rest of your pegs? Best wishes Corky

I stopped way back in feb because i got 7 rabbits on the last outing and 5 of those were prega's. anyone know of any full time ferreting jobs around swadlincote area as my ferrets are already really bored. almost as much as me. and i've been pondering on the once a month idea(ferreting) because i've run out of ferret food and am now onto dry food again.
  22. Damn right. i certainly know what to do if i found out who took my two little girsl(My two jills, i'm just sad!) and planned to dump em!
