    Longnetting

I've netted this place a few times now, it's all orchards surrounded by nice tall hedges. Depending on wind direction depends where abouts we set the nets obviously, but the next night we have a easterly wind should be a really good bag. We always do the long netting on moonlit nights because the rest of the moon phase we're out with the dogs or rifle. The last time I longnetted this place the ground was so hard/dry you could hardly push poles in there was no wind at all and we still got 40+ then The Rabbits around the area are really lamp shy as theres an old boy who drives around in his p

    Longnetting

Went out last night for a spot of long netting with a couple of lads for a bit of sport and to clear where I cant ferret. Really nice wind but that moon one minute clouded over next clear as a bell almost like daytime Well we didn't do too bad considering we only did 2 drops of 300 yards. Scooped 31 on the first drop and 13 on the second bonus was we were picking up nets ready to go home at 9.35 Well a drop of cider has to drunk by some folk before they can sleep end result 44 clean bunnies in the bag in just over 1 1/2 hours
  6. Sandwell tuned Webley longbow .177 nice solid little gun.
  7. The 95 mate. I think Sandwell do a awsome job on tuning for around the £30 mark. Failing that get one of the british Webleys they tune those as well.
  8. Thanks for putting it up that the finder/collar were sold then Why didn't you put a new post up to say sold beforehand ATB Phil
  9. Pm sent ref 8ft finder mate. I'll take that please
  10. I use mine loads, there a great little gun bought a .177 with scope for £160 (i think) had it tuned at Sandwell fieldsports They do a brilliant job for £30 made the gun very smooth
  11. I don't think what you have for sale would be classed as proper grews Thanks for your reply, but there nowhere near the lines I'm looking for
  12. Is there still any off the "Sam the Man" Lines going in the Rotherham/Yorks area?
  13. Well it's bit a bit of a tall order but if anyone knows of a litterof grews or litter on it's way, line bred with "SAM THE MAN" + "ROSE" bloodlines. I think these were from Ian Green lines. ATB Phil

  16. Ian, even though the shells are all supposed to be loaded in the same factory I had loads of trouble with the hornady rounds not holding a good zero. My setup is the same as yours and I've found the Remington are good but I haven't tried any Federal yet.
  17. better setting the net on 6 uprights ! keeps the lines taut. You never ever want the lines too taught rabbits will just bounce off The more net you can get between posts the better to a certain degree. so its the lines that hold the rabbits!!! shit I always thought the netting done that job!!....ah well back to the drawing board. Sorry pal misread
  18. Can you still get the screw on caps for the mk1 collars??
