  1. Pics would be great if you can
  2. Tell me where the fishery is and i promise not to get caught!
  3. Does anyone know what the score would be with your SGL or FAC if your caught poaching? i would think that they would see that as a golden opportunity to revoke everything or even influence your chances of getting one in the future. Any views?
  4. thanks for the offer mate, but your a bit far away.
  5. i used to work in a gunsmiths in brighton, you would not beleive the things people do to their guns. One guy came back with his new rapid 7 complaining he couldnt hit anything with it and wanting a refund, when the gunsmith had a look at it the entire barrel was full of pellets! it took several hours and more than a few choice words before he could get them out, there were even a few rattlng around in the silencer. To this day i have no idea how he managed it!
  6. im from sussex, about 20 mins away. im probably a bit late but i would be happy to come regularly rather than just a one off? PM me if you havent found anyone one. Fingers crossed
  7. Nice one mate, good shooting
  8. im still interested Snelly. Work is a nightmare at the moment otherwise we would have got the court sorted. Would still like to get my pup out with your dog too at some point. i will be in touch once i get organised if they are still available.
  9. Too true, i spent sunday afternoon wth my head down a hole gettng ours back! 7ft and a right pain in the arse. Still at 40 quid a go was no way i was leaving it. On the up side i always knew exactly how far away it was!
  10. Welcome to the forum, it depends on whether you will be out single handed or wth a mate. if your on your own get a scope mounted one if theres two of you then maybe hand held. Either way get as many amp hours as pos on the battery and as much cp as you can. i use a cluson cb2 pretty old but 1,000,000 cp and lots of battery life, its a hand held but you can also get a scope mounting kit. i've used it both ways for about 10 yrs and, apart from a new battery when i left it without a charge, its been faultless! Good hunting!
  11. im pretty pleased with the accuracy of the mk 3, my little darling threw her collar 7ft down today and after a b**tard of a dig i managed to retreive it! i would never have found it if i hadnt been able to pinpoint it with the LED locator bit. Thumbs up for deben, although if they werent so excruciatngly expensive i wouldnt have spent an hour upside down in a ruddy great hole!!! Oh well, such is life!
  12. i'd take you up on the offer but your way too far from me. Thanks for the offer, and good luck with the shoot.
  13. i think you can get a licence to control them if they are causing serous damage to stocked lakes but it has to be geniune and i expect they make you jumps through hoops to prove they are a pest. Dont know the full details but im sure someone here knows.
  14. Thanks fezz, that confused me a little! i just thought it was weird, been back since and the ones in a warren in the next field are normal. Might check out the first again this weekend. it might make sense if it was dehdration though, they were caught mid afternoon so might have been under all day.
  15. My mate had a lurcher called Gaia, i ended up in a fight in her local park as a couple of little sh*ts thought i thought was callng them gay! its a nice name but it has its downsides!
  16. Cluson every time! Had mine for ages and its never let me down. Get the one with the soft battery pouch though, mine is the hard case and can make noise against fences, gun stock, even buttons - can be a right pain in the arse. Beam wise its great, 1,000,000 cp tight beam even secondary low light bulb which is deal for paunching not falling over fences etc. Good hunting!
  17. Has no one seen this then? i read up online and was wondering whether it could be Viral Hemoreagic (spelling) disease. Come on guys, with all the experienced people on here someone must know!
  18. Went out again today. Seven bunnies in 2 hours and a lovely day for it. Only thing is that when i peed them the urine was bright orange and when it dried it seemed bloody. ive never seen it that colour, any ideas anyone? They were in tip top conditon otherwise and seemed normal inside when paunched.
  19. Is your trap similar to the trap described as above with funnels or is it something different???????????? I can't just figure out what sort of trap they are. Sorry for being thick Also are these cray fish the foreign ones which are bigger than our natural ones?? Have a look at this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Crayfish-lobster-cra...1QQcmdZViewItem i dont know much about them but this is what i use to catch eels and they say it would work for crayfsh too. Signal crayfish are not native, i think they come from the states and are bad for our native species so its good to catch them!
  20. The cheapest option would just be to buy a mount for your striker. i dont know for sure if deben do a conversion but expect so. i use a clulite wth the handle for dogging and scope mounted on the airgun for shooting. its a big heavy lamp but you dont really notice the extra weight when shooting for some reason. i had a logun lamp for a bit but prefered the more powerful clulite. The extra weight is well worth it for the stronger beam and better battery life imo
  21. That sounds good Any idea of legal quarry list?
  22. Does anyone know the hunting wth dogs laws in spain? i have seen the vid of the ibzan hounds on here but anymore info much appreicated. Thanks
  23. Whereabouts do you look for them? im well up for giving it a go, i even have a few old eel traps in the shed somewhere. Do they feed year round or is it just a summer thing? Should i be looking in running or still water, what depth, overhanging cover etc. All answers much appreciated, if i get any i will post pcs
