  1. Lol, must have had bad signal and phone posted it again when it found signal I guess
  2. No idea why that posted twice hours apart. Sorry
  3. Its the same kind of route I'm going down with my mutts. I put my whippet Russell over my pat springer and, assuming the bitch I kept does what I want, I will be looking to put a whippet or whippet cross over her in the future. Hardy little mooching dogs is what I got from this litter and adding another of the same ilk but with longer legs and a bit of speed is quite appealing

  5. No, see above, was absolutely boiling weather this time 3 years ago
  6. Definitely worth it, I wouldn't use anything else now. The trip was brilliant, was exactly this time 3 years ago. Blazing hot weather the whole way, not like this year. We set off from the highest navigable point, cant remember the name but it had a decent cafe. Can't remember where we got out either lol, was somewhere past hereford
  7. I've tried the 12v ones, they are crap compared to the Coleman. I think its one of those things where you get what you lay for, the Coleman xtreme is nearly £100 for a big one but it actually works. You can buy same size generic one for half the price but they just don't work as well
  8. I was amazed how good it was, I was expecting to be buying ice on the way but there was no need
  9. As far as cold storage goes a decent coolbox with a frozen water bottle in it, it will give you a fridge anywhere for 5 days. I use a Coleman xtreme, took it on a 5 day river wye canoe trip in the blazing sun and food was still cool inside when I got home. With that and a camp stove there not much you can't cook
  10. I have contacts out there in pest control, call me
  11. Can you make reasonable money at it? What do you charge per rabbit?

    The two we kept

A bit of an update on the pups. My wife's is doing good as a yard dog and catches bits and pieces round the stables but isn't actively worked which is a pity. She keeps busy though and gets stuck into anything that turns up round the stables. She's out all day so gets plenty of opportunities. Mine pretty much missed the season after dislocating her hip, she lived with my mum for 4 months recuperating and I've just got her back a few weeks ago. I was worried she would've gone soft or that the hip would recur but, so far, the hip is holding up and she certainly hasn't gone soft.
  13. Yeah I hope so. Not showing any sign of weakness on the hip and I'm liking her attitude. Fingers crossed
  14. Yeah, whippet Russell sire over the pat springer in the pictures, the 2 sisters I bred. Seem to be coming on well. Jai's has been flying all season but mine managed to dislocate her hip in November so missed this season and only just getting going, she seems keen to catch up though and her hip seems to be holding up ok so far
  15. I cant take any credit for the boat, its my mates, but yes he's put alot of thought into setting it up and it works really well. I have fished from the arm with mixed success, I've also had a go at the schooly bass in the harbour. They are good fun on the right day on light tackle
  16. Had our first serious fishing trip yesterday. The fishing was slow and the weather was baltic but was good to be out. Ended up with a few keeper plaice and a few that went back along with dome flounders, a whiting and a tiny smooth hound
  17. I'd say the evidence says otherwise but that's just my opinion
  18. Maybe I've got you wrong or it's just the way you come across, just seems like you're spoiling for a row all the time? Anyone can say what they like on here, its no skin off my nose, get out an enjoy the sun if you've nothing to do its a cracking day!
  19. Are you really that miserable that you are so desperate for social interaction that you are reduced to this? Sad times mate, cheer up its a lovely day!
  20. If you are gathering your information from my post you've got it totally wrong. She doesn't have "mental issues", she was shy and lacked training. That's been resolved now. Looks to me you were just looking for an argument last night which is fine, everyone got to have a hobby, just don't drag me into it.
  21. I guess it all depends on who you are rehoming to. I've only ever rehomed one dog, a terrier who just couldn't get on with one of the lurchers, it took a few years but I found him a place with a mate. Still see him now and then, he's happy as Larry, it worked out well all round. Only downside was I had to keep hold of him longer than I really wanted to while I found a decent place for him. Would've been far easier to pts but I felt I owed him better than that
