    Mc you keep a good yard your dogs are always in good order you get them out and test them and there a credit to you but don't be so kennel blind there's plenty of mutts out there doing the same and more even some on harder ground

    How do you find starting them of as I have heard some can be late starters the best I've seen was gd Sally a genuine half cross that bitch was a pleasure to watch run and work she took good numbers of hares and roe day time and had a hatered of foxes

    There was a couple of litters bred that way out of dee( pyes brother) in the early 90s if I remember right big old lumps the linings were a bit and miss but when it worked it was decent

    Some were doubled up for numbers on a night but most could and did take gear single handed regular and were run regular single handed on all gear no arse grabbers either mc it's one thing catching up to something it's another finishing the job

    Not all half crosses are heavy but there's a lot of familys of bull xs and there offspring that would and could do in a night what no coursing bred dog would do in 3 on all teeth or things that want confrontation single handed that's fact its horses for courses mc you keep a good yard but coursers aren't the holy grail there's lines and family of dogs that have put a lot more gear on the floor be it bunnies or reds it just is what it is

    Mc speed isn't everything seen a fair few very quick dogs not make old bones due to there style a good dog just knows how to run and put gear away and I couldn't think of anything worst than a lamping dog hunting up Unless you use that famous saying it's never done that before

    Last year a few of us booked a few days fishing just local so I booked one of the lads on a swim i should of known given how many times a day she rings him asking what time you home and all rest of it his reply when I told him im not allowed to stay out all night Mrs doesn't like it he must be nearly 30 I was speechless I couldn't live like that I come and go as I please as she does

    Your right Neil Keith passed on sadly and his daughter runs it now but they have always been good with me as the same as many others with working dogs

    My vets is next door there part of the same group and there good the lass that bred my lab has used them in the past exactly what for im not 100 % sure but I know she wouldnt go there if they weren't any good

    As I have always said mc your dogs are always in good shape but what they like when gear turns flight in to fight im talking bigger gear here or running hillside rocks bogs ect and when they have to hunt up what they run that's different to spot and slip which I have no doubt your do well
