What did you expect kelpie xs to look like they look like a very healthy well raised litter to me and I'm sure they will do and be given every chance at what they were bred to do and maybe the starting point of a decent line in years to come im sure they could open up a few avenues in that respect

I agree buddy but you run a risk when ever you slip them as you can't see wires in a lamp or when the dogs focused even day light I have used gate nets / longnets or general walking up to good effect on hot places under a moon or dark night they are more adapt at night without a lamp than some think

What it was bred to do hopefully ? joking aside if it's to hot to lamp walk it under a good moon stick to the cover and no lamp or a dark windy night let the dogs use there nose and instinct you will be surprised at what you bump into or catch

A bitch I saw run a few times on the lamp was this way bred Kim her name gained a bit of a rep on edible round here she missed very little she was a joy to watch work but was a funny thing wouldn't run for any one but the lad that owned her or wouldn't retrieve if a another dog was in the field but a cracking bitch

great post boson my old man had one similar everything from rabbits to waterhens got left in the garden or were ever else the shed was a favourite we use to take her out at weekends down the docks or train lines with are made up pack from terrier and local mongrels she always caught something when I think back to those days were you could walk through the street with your catch and pack and be proud as punch as young lads full of splinters and shit up to the eye balls and no one said anything to today it's different shame really I knew a old lad who use to deliver cattle he had a old Russel

Do you think it had something to do with the chain I remember my old man getting a german shepherd aged about 2 it was a laid back sort bark if he heard anything but after a few months on a chain it changed to more a aggressive type I often wondered if it was frustration or it's guarding instinct kicking being on a chain its same as the farm yard collies you see that are dodgy when on a chain

I watched a documentary on him im sure he invested in property from early in his career told by his dad to do so then lead some what of a party style life then turned reborn again Christian and took up being a dj and moved to Spain in his villa he was one of my favourite boxers and he's kept in shape and always trained hard even after retirement but you cant fight age like most have said should stay retired
