Nothing really, I just don't like the look of it really. They have two stables together with a fenced off paced run in front of it. The floor is a bit bumpy under the matting so makes it a bit hard to sweep up but I suppose I could take the matting up and level the floor out. Didn't know if there was a y other options

I have recently moved house and have some stables there. I am keeping my dogs in there,they have insulated sleeping boxes with waxed paper in so I think the sleeping arrangements are fine it is the floor I need to sort out. At the moment it is stab!e matting which is not ideal. Does anyone else keep dogs in stables ,antics would be great

My 9 year old niece was really ill and in hospital for a while so to cheer her up I said she could make my new pup as she loves the dogs. 8 months later I now have a 65 kg Boerboel called Pinkie

Yeah they do look good when in condition a lot of wankers have got hold of them now and just breeding for size so not long and the breed will be ruined

I'm not doing anything really with my bitch apart from letting her roam about my stables and play with some obedience training as she still is so young. Giant breeds bones haven't fused together properly until around 18 months so can do a lot of damage of pushed too early. once grown she will be free running with my other dogs and out running along with the horses on hacks as well as her guarding duties so she will be kept fit. the sire came from a cattle ranch and used to follow the horses rounding up the cattle for 10 plus miles a day.

Yes they do if not kept active and fed crap like any dog I suppose I think with dogs of this size the key is to let them grow slowly and naturally not accelerate it with really high protein food. The giant breed puppy food is the worst for that

The same as you feed any dogs mate Raw,dry,wet food whatever the owner wishes. I feed raw

Your right there mate, she still has of plenty of growing left to do. I think she will level out at about 80kg. Poor breeding from substandard animals causes the heath issues not the size,weight. She comes from good stock that have been scored. Her line are quite large but very lean and active with it. Her side is 90kg and moves like a cat, I have never seen a dog his size move with such grace.

Yes mate she is a big baby still . She's 15 weeks now but still very puppyish. Watches everything and everyone and can be dominant, have to keep my eye on her. She bosses about all my other dogs apart from my old deerhound, keeps well clear of her and being told off.

My Boerboel bitch is growing well. Broken to the horses and goats so far. Very impressed with this breed

Not really mate. Simple raw diet with a bit of decent biscuit. Don't want to accelerate the growth. Bad picture there This one any better?

My pup is 11 weeks today and growing in front of my eyes. She is very eager to please and a pleasure to have around. Fitted in nicely with the rest of the dogs

She cost similar sort of money to your friends one Bird. A bit more in fact It took me a couple of years to find the right breeder with the right stock. Both parents are South African imports. The person that bred her lived in SA for 25 years. Yes you could say it is a lot of money and I could of certainly got a cheaper dog to do the job but I have wanted one for many years and to be honest I spend more every year going on holiday than what the dog cost so for a animal that will hopefully serve me well for 10 years plus I'm not complaining
