  2. It was sent to me by the scammer. Classic move is to send (without request) a bunch of "official documents" to gain trust from your victims

To answer a few issues: * Robert Burleigh is probably a real person and may have had his identity and reputation used for this - if anybody knows him then obviously let him know * I went to the shop and its just an accounting firm. Their website and background story looked so genuine (all the detail on opening hours and range of products etc.) but something didn't smell right and the fake copy of a passport rang alarm bells (its attached, check out the name really closely).   5. Hi all, Just wanted to make others aware of a scam website 'selling' hunting equipment. The website is http://www.chase-shoot.co.uk/ which is supposed to be in Dorset and run by Robert Burleigh. I wont go into all the detail of my interaction with them but the summary is: 1. they are not at their listed address 2. wont answer the phone 3. will request bank transfers for goods before you see them 4. will send a passport scan for "reassurance" they are genuine...the image I got was clearly altered from a real passport scan (when you look closely) Luckily I am not
