Bells are good when you working few ferrets at same time ,once above ground you can hear them and locate them easilyin cover ,I'd only use a liner in places with no roots ,I always find when working Jill's if one stays I drop a hob in and he'll find her and she normally pop out followed by hob .

I nearly got one for my bedy grey who like a bull x as plenty drive ,she was fine around sheep but after she retreaved few muntys she was taking unhealthy look at sheep so back to stock training we went but if she carried on I'd have had to use a collar but luckily q scolding and few days around sheep put a stop to it but I did think about a collar but not knowing anyone who uses one to show me in the field put me off as I'm sure in wrong hands they could do more damage than good Atb -

Still use one ,if the knocker box ,collar fails I get a liner out ,any big hob do the job but I never use liner around tree roots

Pm me a few pics and I'll send them to my mate who runs a reptile house ,he imports all types of amphibians so he should be able to tell what type of bull frog you got , As long as he's eating and growing all is well ,do you have him in a live tank ? All planted out ,I always kept my reptiles in live tanks and even had several species living in same enclosure but mainly dwarf chameleons and gecko's. I never liked the way some kept vivs sterile ,I was offered a pair of monkey tailed skinks last week ,very rare to find captive bred ones never mind a pair . I started keeping reptiles in
-
Go on reptile forum and put some pics on amphibians page ,I'm sure you will find out what type he is ,what's he eating ? I've always liked dart frogs but some are very demanding to keep healthy .
