  1. Personally I’d PTS or neutered and placed in a pet home, there’s plenty good specimens about, why struggle with a sub standard animal, it’s not going to improve, atb
  2. Agree TOMO, I do similar times but not that distance anymore, I hate getting old, still it’s better than the alternative lol
  3. Yeh walked 12.1 miles at 13minutes 26 seconds per mile total time 2 hours 41 minutes 18 seconds
  4. Years ago it was September till end March and sometimes into early April, we don’t often get the cold winters we did back then, for me now it’s beginning of November to end February if I’m lucky, depends more on two things, one it’s got to be cold enough, I’m not gonna risk my dogs health through running her when it’s too warm and the other depends how many Rabbits there is to run, there’s no point to me if there’s not many about, I would sooner let them breed unhindered and have a go at them the season after, that may be hard to understand for a young man chomping at the bit to get out huntin
  5. That is an absolutely stunning pup, all the best with her.
  6. No it wasn’t him, I know who he is though I’ve never met him
  7. For the threads when the batteries are screwed in and for extending the torch for the spotlight mode, keeps it all weather proof and in working order, atb
  8. Yes Jeemes, I use this torch when I go lamping, I get two nights lamping on a full charge so about six hours in total that’s plenty of time for me now I’m in my sixties, I get out three or four times a week and when I get a good sized bag I get a lift home off the local taxi firm for a couple of Rabbits, there’s a five year guarantee with the torch I’ve had mine since 2013 and it’s never let me down, atb
  9. Best litter of Terrier pups I ever saw was a litter of Jack Russells bred by an honest, genuine digging man in South Wales, he said to me “come and have a look at these” we went into his backyard and he shown me this litter of six week old pups then he got this small round cage out with a rat in it, he put the cage on the floor and lifted a pup out from the litter, as soon as he put the pup on the floor it flew at cage, biting and shaking the cage for all it’s worth, this pup was intent on getting to this rat and killing it, the man lifted the pup up after a few seconds and did the same with t
  10. That hound has got some legs on him bet he could shift a bit
  11. I use this these days, it’s got spot to flood and a few other modes which I don’t use, 220 lumens so it cuts through the dark a good distance, not that I use it like that, I prefer to use fieldcraft and get close when I poach, there’s four different coloured filters for about £7 extra, the only drawback for me is because of the Cree lens bulb you don’t get the ruby red eyes of a Rabbit shining back when you lamp them, which I find disappointing but if I knew how to fit an halogen bulb to this torch it would be perfect and another plus point is if you get pulled over you can’t get done for carr
  12. She’s a stunning looking hound Paul, and your right it don’t matter what’s in her, as long as your happy that’s all that counts, atb
  13. Sad news, hope she’s left you with some good memories, atb
  14. Nice tyke DC, looks a classic example of a working Terrier
  15. Had a slape coated black bitch off Ken Gould years ago, the coat was as stiff as wire wool, put a rough coated black dog to her and produced a dog pup with a fantastic rough hard coat, could handle the coldest extremities this country of ours could throw at it, there was a rumour going round that Moses would have found it easier to part the Red Sea than part the coat on my black bitch lol
  16. There was a time I’d regularly see dogs of that type in the circles I moved around in, sadly no more, atb
  17. You can be rightly proud of them pups, they’re all a real credit to you, atb
  18. Every guy I’ve known has lost a good un at some point, a sickner when it happens, thankfully not a regular occurrence
