    a mate used to have, got stole though.the dog wasnt quick enough for me, although he would catch lamp and day foxes and same with rabbits.he were abit behind hares.one thing i could give the dog was he were very game.backed off nothing.id have a 3/4 out of him in a flash, just got stole. maybe the 3/4 bred would be more of an allrounder.should be able to take foxes, if bred right, i my opinion the best wheaten dogs are in ireland, if i were to get one id get one imported or one off irish wheatens.like my mates second generation half bred.good luck

    iv a bitch in the yard now just waiting for her to come around she,s due to come around this month it be interesting to see how they pups turn out.... Keep us posted Lampman....would be interesting to see 3/4 out of him

    couldnt see them being racy myself, but depends what you class as racy????..........if youre after a dog for fox then put to another 1/2x then you should have a decent tool on your e hand,probably not fast enough for hares but catch lamp and day fox.

    spot on gone2 ground, only going off what i have seen,and most 2nd generation halfx's ive seen have been racier than first cross.but see what youre saying. like that dog lampman.cracker mate. Cheers.

    A Mates second cross wheaten/grey well bred, and we saw both parents grafting before buying.he got stole few month back though, would of had a 3/4 off him in a flash.

    she 25 inch and 4 years old and around 65lb.i would say second crosses are more racier as their are 2 lots of grey in the pup from first cross to first cross.game bitch too,i would get a first cross bull if i had chance, or first cross wheaten.either would be good for preban quarry.just make sure if you get a pup it is bred right and not youre ordinary run of the mill shite :yes:

    id put whatever took my fancy, either a good bull/grey that is proven, but i would put a halfx wheaten/grey over her mate. give the pups abit of coat to mate. Cheers.
