    I would go first x again but finding a decent bred one is like finding rocking horse poo ,the chap where I got my bitch from not breeding anymore , hence I shall av a litter of my own , be the first litter I have bred since 1986

    rabbiting dogs in our area when I was a kid were all whippet /collie or whippet/terrier crosses yet all looked like strong built whippets with some having a broken coat ? all did there job and also doubled up as rat destroyers aswell ?

    if folk pay silly money for dogs the dealers will keep rubbing there hands together and keep knocking them out ?just because you don't pay the silly money don't mean you don't value a dog , when I get a pup it stays with me for good , you only get out what you put in if it cost nowt or a grand ?

    they are selling for silly prices though ? look around some of the shows and see what they charging for studs and pups yet most openly admit the dogs aint even worked ?

    I payed £120 for my first x beddy?/grey and was given a tenner back for chipping ? and that's the most iv ever payed for a lurcher ? a lurcher is a working mans dog so should be sold and working mans prices ? any different and question the sellers intentions ,av they been bred to keep a pup back or is for profit only ?

    hiya ray hope you well ? don't know anything about wheatens and defo never seen one worked to ground but they seem to be the fashion these days and if that's what they like these days cant see why not ,but give me a first x beddy/grey anyday ?

    there are still a few about but with those with the genuine thing keep themselves very much to themselves and you will find they are all hybreds but if its a good one its a good one and sticks where others wont on big teeth ?

    as far as I know George never kept any running dogs ? only beddys and lakeys ,?

    some excellent first x beddy/greys have come out of cannock way and I have one myself , but they defo defo did not come out of neil bacon of burntwood puppy farm ? and his stud was a very poor example of a Bedlington as it was big and had the chest of a bull terrier and i very much doubt It came out of georges stock ?

    I have a genuine first cross greyhound /Bedlington bitch 21 and a half ats , thinking of lineing her with a whippet or a grew if I can find the right dog ? next spring for a pup myself,

    crufts lol you can see why bedlingtons are seen as a joke by other terrier owners ? them poor creatures paraded around that daft show ring look nowt like the real macoy and those that have done that to one of gamest dogs on the planet should be done for cruelty and it aint just beddys ? sealyhams now look like Dougal off the magic roundabout ffs and Packham thinks hunting is cruel ?what is happening to this country ? the worlds gone nuts lol.

    cant go wrong with a first x beddy/grey not to big for ferreting and not to small for other stuff and they have great noses atb
