Chicken and leak tagliatelle, doesn’t look much but it was lovely, everything is always better with cream and half a bottle of wine

First pad in and shuttering in for the second, probably could of had it all done today but there’s no point rushing a good job

Well, I think I’m about a day away from being able to put the digger through through this house, 90% of the copper out and a bit of lead still to come out, I think I’m going to be waiting on the elec board to come and do the disconnection, lifted the floor upstairs and there must have been mice inside for decades, absolutely full of wheat and barley

Thank god that weeks over, just about to have an early finish and my phone rang, the old girl from the shoot saying two trees had come down across the drive, so off up there to clear them so she could get out, just got home and I’m knackered

You won’t see any white ones with me, I shoot them all, they are the lazy keepers bird of choice because they will tell you where your birds are, and everyone else

Making a bit of progress on the demolition job, I’m struggling at the minute to get on this job and stay on it, got some good scrap coming out of it

I’ve put 750 down this year, normally put 1000 down but I’m trying less birds better feed this year, hoping for 40 to 50 bird days and to pull a few in from other areas by feeding better than the surrounding shoots, its a driven shoot, them members stand one then beat the next, unless you are my guest, then you stand all day I looked at that but it fair old way from me and I’d have to find a nice hotel because I can’t be sleeping in a tent

We’ve got 7 this season, starting on the 1st of November, if it goes well I might squeeze another day in January

Stinky job today, septic tank top collapsing, drilled the old concrete top, fitted rebar, a new lid and concreted the lot, company came and quoted 14k to replace it with a treatment plant, I’ve fixed it for a few hundred quid

I was a HGV mechanic/electrician for 25 years before I had a midlife crisis and rapped it all in for the outdoor life

This is just a guess but by what the mileage is showing, I would say both rear sensors are open circuit, I would of thought they share an earth so I’d be looking for a broken wire, I had an iveco daily do that but had lost its earth in the ABS module giving the same fault as a broken wire, I’d also check the phonic wheels on the off chance they are both buggered, this is all just guess work

Digging out putting drainage into stables for a wash area, my mate got the outside with the digger, lucky me got the inside hand dig through sandstone, then off to feed my flying chickens
