  1. It’s serious mate, you could build bridges over some of them cracks
  2. I’ve just checked the weather for the next two weeks and it’s just going to get hotter, might be time to start putting your pants in the fridge for when you get up in the morning ?
  3. Send it this way mate, we need it, when I got there today I was expecting to find my mate in his pants doing a rain dance in the middle of the field ?
  4. Try thimbleby clay ground, it’s just down the road from us, book a lesson they will set you on the right track, you can use there guns, you can even take a couple of mine to have a go with if you want to, the more you get to play with the more chance you have of finding what fits you best ( don’t tell the missus, but Northallerton shooting do finance ?)
  5. It’s mental mate, the little corn flies got to much for me once the sun was out I felt like I had fleas, all the ground is like this, we are in desperate need of some rain
  6. A couple of hours on the crows, 46 shot 14 picked as the keep out of my f*cking barely rule still stands?
  7. Lovely job, the crows will keep for another day ?
  8. Thanks for that, it makes perfect sense, on the odd occasion I get to go hare shooting I use a 35g 5’s and when you hit them you stop them, this was the last young one I shot with the shotgun using a mini mag and although it’s only small it did run on a bit
  9. I with you on that, been from Yorkshire I’m about 50% tea ?
  10. U. Can I pick your brains, not being much of a shot gun shooter I’ve always used heavier shells for fox, I tend to use 40g 3’s mini mags or 50g BB Winnie’s, is there any benefit using a lighter load or does it just come down to pattern, if this is a stupid question tell me I’m an idiot ?
  11. I subbie for catterick barracks working with the mobiles ( transport) and these young lads and lasses know how to graft, all it takes is for someone higher up the chain to say this is what needs doing and it gets done
  12. Lovely job, and back in time to put your feet up and have a beer ?
  13. That just sounds like some bullsh*t the RSPB would come out with
  14. I don’t know what it’s like over that way but in the dales over here the army use the moor and when my nephew was based at layburn and fires happened if they were needed they were sent out
  15. I feel sorry for the fire crews and the locals that are out 24/7 doing there best to stop the spread, they asked for help from the army and around 100 were sent out, there is a massive army base at catterick and layburn stuffed with young lads they should be at the disposal of the fire crews
  16. A lad I know has sheep up there just down from the moor, he said the first fire has been blamed on a discarded cigarette, if this isn’t an advert for the full game management of moorland I don’t know what is, there needs to be controlled burning to create fire barriers, so if some little dickhead decides to have a fire it’s easier to control and hopefully will not go on to devastate a massive part of the moor
  17. Nice work, that’s looks to be a good size vixen, it’s obviously been living the high life on good quality chicken ?
  18. Cheers buddy, hopefully going to get a full day at them on Wednesday, so we’ll see what that brings, might not get a bag full but I bet I’ll scare the sh*t out of them ?
  19. It serves him right, nothing worse than people sticking there nose into something they know nothing about, if he doesn’t like how the countryside works then why move there a few years ago I used to do work for taxi lads and they were buggers for not paying so our favourite trick was to pull a door card off and put tuna in the door also milk in the carpet under the seat does the job ?
  20. That will teach the greedy little bugger ?
  21. That is unbelievable, what a days sport, ??????
  22. I still have the old lightforce lamp that now only gets used with the dogs due to how wide the beam is, everything else I use the torches, I ended up getting one after a night out with a lad who worked for nightmaster and couldn’t believe how good they were, so bit the bullet and splashed the cash ?
  23. Can’t fault 3 in a couple of hours, an evening well spent ?
  24. So, I’ve been doing a bit work on the farm and the lad said how do I fancy knocking off early to go up to the other farm as the crows are hammering the barley, this may of been a polite way of saying clock off and go and help me out for free? so off I went, not the farmers million’s but still a few about, only managed 16 in an hour or so and rapped in because of the heat, only picked the 3 that landed at my feet as his words were keep out of my f*cking crop
  25. A day dreams are made of, one you will remember for the rest of your life ?
