  1. After a terrible week at work I was in need of some stav time, so I thought I’d take trip up to the shoot to see if I could catch up with any gingers, on arrival I popped to the house to see how my favourite old girl was doing, first port of call was the garden to show me the state of the cabbage’s and beetroot so after a 10 minute ear bashing and a promise I’d be up on a rabbit mission I headed over to a part of the shoot I know there is a family, after walking to the far end of the shoot I realised that all the rain we have had has done the place the world of good, we are now in full summer
  2. Haha haha that’s not right on any level ?????
  3. I was just about to type the same thing ?
  4. Before my opinion changes of you sausage I want to know are you the shooter or the camera man ?
  5. A pigeon for the LGBT community ?
  6. It used to be big hunt ground, the land behind the sheep is a grouse moor that a lad I know is the head keeper on, sadly it’s died out a fair bit now and I think there’s only one pack now, when it almost stopped the bloke that owned the moor sold more game shooting to keep the money coming in, putting more pressure on the moor, luckily he’s now sold it to a chap who’s more interested is lower number days but better shooting and he’s all for moorland management and not shooting the arse out of it
  7. Cheers chap, put a few sheep’s ? in with the pictures for you, hope you like them ?
  8. If I told him they were a fiver each he’d try and charge me for them saying he’d done me a favour shooting them, yes he is that tight but he’s like an unwanted brother ?
  9. That’s a proper set up??? we buy ours in on our shoot, straight into the pens but we have a young lad on the shoot that hatches a few wildies in his garden, last year he managed about 50ish so we banded them and if you shot one you had to give him 5 quid, he was the richest man on the shoot on a couple of occasions, I’m going to show him this and tell him to ask his dad to sort him some space in one of the poultry sheds, he’ll torture the poor old fella ?
  10. I can’t believe no one has jumped at this, I’d consider moving down there myself for the rabbit shooting but I’d have to bring the missus with me and Penzance isn’t ready for that ?
  11. I was very nearly his 100th problem the way he was burning through them rounds, us northerners are a very frugal people when it comes to that sort of thing, him less so when it’s not his money ?
  12. Well I’ve got a mate who has 99 problems and thought I’d try and cheer him up with a bit of fox action, I was told that a bloke was worried about lambs he had on a small holding so off we went, on arrival I could see he had nothing to worry about, the size of the lambs a wolf would of struggled to take them, so instead of sitting around on the off chance of calling a ginger I decided to take him for a bit of bunny bashing, letting him have the first few shots a smile soon appeared on his face, he managed 7 and I managed 5 in just over an hour, it was nice to see him turn that frown upside down
  13. Nice work, he’s a big old boy, no matter if lambing is over he needed to go ???
  14. No Ric O’shay’s as all the rounds ended up in the timber
  15. I’ve used worktop before, at 40mm after a few rounds it started to break up so I screwed two together and nothing came out the back after 40 or 50 shots

  17. Haha, how did you know I was talking about her indoors, have you met her ?
  18. Think it’s time to turn mine off when I’m out, it never stops and 9 times out of 10 it’s something pointless
  19. With it been the first evening in a week we haven’t had rain, I thought I’d have a walk around the shoot, so off me and the long one went, as I’ve said before at this time of year there’s very few places to get a shot off, firstly we headed to the spud field and gave it 45 mins or so with the caller, to no avail, so we had a walk over to apart of the shoot known as the piggeries, now this is a narrow ride that over the years I’ve shot quite a few foxes on and where I shot the cub a few weeks ago, I put the caller on the ride but not calling, giving it time to settle down, after 15 minutes or s
  20. That’s how I would interpret it, if it’s just fields of stubble there’s nothing to protect, there’s nothing in that license that states you can shoot them because you know they will be a problem in future, that’s how I read it at least
  21. After speaking to a couple of people today, it would seem that decoying pigeon on stubble is a no go as this could be considered sporting shooting, but with the turn around in crops, a couple of weeks after combine they are putting the winter drilling’s in, these new licenses are for crop, wildlife and public health and not for sporting shooting which was also illegal on the old GL, luckily we are all a lot better informed now ?
  22. Mmmm, pigeon ?, send your tofu into spring watch as a conciliation prize for that fu*k wit who’s name will no longer be spoken ?
  23. Have a read of them on defra’s site mate, for crop protection they look spot on, you should still try the usual farming methods, bangers etc but as you will know these only work for a short time ?
  24. Well I haven’t read them word for word because I’m running a bit late this morning but they do seem to cover everything I do and are very well worded compared to the rubbish natural England released, I haven’t read specifically about decoying pigeon but this may be covered under the trapping legislation, one thing I did see is you can now eat what you shoot ( wood pigeon) but you can’t sell it, so at the minute it’s looking good, but I’ll reserve judgment until I’ve read them fully and before I call for Michael coke head gove to be knighted
