Looks good mac. Check out PHD Designs gear jackets and bags ect. Based in Harrogate but the factory were they make them is in the mill down the road from me. Expensive but quality gear, they got a autumn sale on sleeping bags at the moment. -
I wouldn't be surprised if was a disgruntled land owner/farmer did it to keep Joe public away from it or something along those lines.

Add a circular up on moors walk the turkey sausage sarnis off. Went up on the pennine way past Holme Mast weather station and looped round to wrigleys cabin and black hill summit . Back in the day before the ban when was legal , we used go hareing up ere for blues . Sadly didn’t see even one today, but got some good memories from back in the day. Love it up on the moors , better than that southern fairy’s land darn sarf . You no what they say , don’t stray off the path on a full moon lol . -

We add a week at Blair Athol ourselves. My friend who passed away used to do the ferreting for a Cheshire hawking club , they used to go to Biggar. He would ferret all day and they wud let him lamp his dog on the night. I never got an invite as I was considered a bit of a rogue by a few members lol . I did go up on my own tho at some point and met sarah Moffat through my mate .

When I went there was 2 pubs on island one open one shut, a chippy that only opened on certain days . One farm that gave us permo had an ambulance on it and was the islands resident ambulance. I have fond memories of that trip as it was the last big trip I had with my long term hunting partner of over 30 yrs before he sadly died of cancer a few years later. He had been to Scotland with me numerous times and we had numerous escapades out poaching over the years . But the memories live on

Deffo pal ! I could deffo lead a Spartan life up there for sure. Interestingly [BANNED TEXT] I was on sanday I was ferreting and the wind was blowing a hoolie and cutting into us , I bolted a curlew from a warren
