  1. I need to learn more about spine on arrows and weight to power as this seems to affect arrow flight . But all in all loving a bit of target shooting in the sun.
  2. Some more practice at 11 yards but getting better
  3. The simple shot xx hammer slingbow arrived . First impressions a very well put together and sturdy frame it is, bit of a faff putting bands on then some practice shots and soon found my anchor and reference points, totally totally different to my normal shooting of a 90mm catty frame. I seem to pic it up pretty quick . The bands are very heavy to draw back so I got a cheap Amazon archery release aid trigger. That was a faff till I got used to it. Must admit this is good fun.
  4. Was ted hot 25 yrs ago back in the day . Had a wee bit of bother round there back in the day lol

  9. Thanks Mac much appreciated cheers. I have just ordered the simple shot one, in the spares they also sell a rail attachment. That you can screw in a bow stabilizer or a real seat for a fishing real. Also ordered a bow release off Amazon.
  10. Can some one please post a link up to a website if possible please ? I am useless with teckno lol. Just Google Chief AJ Slingbows and his website will pop up. Looks like some good stuff on there for sale, like fishing rigs and all sorts, also quite a few videos to watch on various pages on it. Thanks in advance cheers Leo.
  11. Lol, pain in the arse ain't they lol. I cut the front out of a wheelie bin and draped towels inside and put targets in it. I have it in my garage, I put a single door in the back of my garage so I shoot stood in the garden into the garage to avoid the noseys. To be honest I ain't shot in the garden for a long time, I tend to just practice down the woods most days [BANNED TEXT] I take the dog for a walk after work. And I think I am going to order the simple shot slingbow later , will let you know how I get on mate, cheers.
  12. I'm thinking that for a bit of fun in the garden. I was wondering if you can shoot the same as aiming with a catty ie anchor points. But am sure the frame widths are bigger than what I normally shoot, so would imagine have to start from scratch with a slingbow and different anchor points . Am tempted for 65 quid to be honest.
  13. Cheers pal, yeah it looks a bit of fun for the crack

  22. Funny enough a couple of Sunday's ago I was out mooching at first light and seen 4 parakeets , then seen them a few days later in a another stretch of woodland. I know they are all over the other side of Manchester from me, but I haven't seen any round here till now. And yeah I was surprised by how loud they was.
