  1. Been lark hawking myself down south on an air base, as you say breath taking watching the skylarks and Merlins ringing up and then the stoop. Was awsome
  2. Yep I agree , back in the day when we used go up Gretna for long ears or Johnson Bridge ect looking for larger prey or Dumfrieshire for bunnies. Them border cops were always right barstewards in even back in the 90,s. What I shame for Scotland, I first went up at 19 with a lurcher and was blown away with the scenery the amount of gear to run and instantly fell in love with the place. A true hunters paradise, such a shame that this in force.
  3. I've got the smaller version the mini mo I think it is, never done any proper cooking on it just heat things through or boil in bag. But I've allways been happy with mine.
  4. No mate, but it's fine for what I want. There is loads of low roof camper conversions , a lot of the VW day vanscare that are not pop top
  5. Just in the process of doing one up myself, I bought one part converted ish, but gonna rip it all out and start again and add windows roof vent and get rid of double bed as it will just be for me and the dog for a little weekends mooching here and there. Probably won't stay on campsites much , just ruff it hear and there. It's only a swb low roof, but be big enough for me and the dog.
  6. 3/4 collie grey only made 23 half inches , had rabbit hare fox roe. Was out 24/7 back then. Some proper fond memories.
  7. Going back 20yrs a fella bred a litter of 1st cross acdxgrey x 1st cross acdxgrey. I initially put my name against a dog pup. However I had to pull out as I was living with this nutty bird at the time and it went pear shaped so I wasn't able to take the pup on and do it justice. Fast forward over 12 months later I happen to see a few of the litter and was glad I didn't take the pup on as 1st x over 1st cross had thrown a little bit to heavy and squat for what I wanted and wad doing at the time as an allrounder. But I did often ponder on what acd blood was like.
  8. Come March the government is drastically cutting the help it is giving businesses towards energy bills. I can see a lot having to close down that are struggling now. What a sad state of affairs !
  9. I don't think so, but I don't fish not my thing. But a lovely area
  10. Yeah Terry, it seems very popular, well from what I've seen on YouTube ect
  11. Deffo be a interesting cross over your white bitch Charlie ! Keep us posted
  12. I quite fancy this van life crack. Just me and the dog and catty and a bit of mooching about and staying the night.
  13. Got one in my dining room I fitted myself. In that cold spell before Xmas my boiler packed inn. I had no heating or hot water for 5 days and my log burner saved the day . And as greyman said free fuel if you know we're to look lol
  14. Yeah seen them pal, that was the type I was thinking of cheers
  15. Did think about a mini log burner, would be ideal too be honest. It's just space as it's a swb
  16. I watched sum YouTube vids of some snide chinky ones going wrong and it put me off
  17. I was looking at them, I thought there mite be a easier alternative. I have use of a jackery portable generator battery and thought use that with a small heater , maybe mini oil filled radiator or warm air heater.
  18. A little project I got on the go, a sought of mini camper/dayvan/old banger van. I want something were I can go off with the dog for a night and mooch and do what I do. Nip up to the dales or over to Norfolk for a night and mooch about and camp ruff it for the night or too. This is part finished but going to change it all round for better use of space, so get rid of double bed or half it, or do away and put a single rock and roll bed. Going to put a roof light/vent in. Am undecided weather to put a side window inn or weather to keep a stealthy look. Also not sure weather to put some sort of he
  19. I seen on YouTube a geezer make some diy scales that looked easy enough. Try and do a search and find it, the frame is probably more comfortable with scales I'd say. I never took mine off too be honest to know what it feels like with out.
