Had a root round garage yesterday and managed to find some bits to knock up an awning on my dogging bus camper banger. Will do for cooking under or sitting if weather is poor , rather than being stuck in car. Lookin forward to having some trips darn sarf mooching and ratching about.

I,m on outskirts of Manchester, past 12 months the parakeets moved in, they was all over the other side of manny. I’ve heard no reports of munties near me , but have had a roe population explosion. Haven’t seen a rabbit near me for years. There is a bank of gorse near my gaff , held rabbits for 35 yrs . No one bothers with them and every year they would recover from mixi. They died out a few years ago and never recovered, such a shame.

When younger burned the candle at both ends, often lamping till nearly daylight then a long drive home. Now due to the nature of my work and buisness definitely a early bird. Even on my day off of week off work am up at 3 to 4. I love the solitude of early mornings and being out and about.

Yeah my mate come out, but was as clueless as me lol. And the river is down tbh in places and it's its just coming out of town and full of rubbish in parts. Going off Facebook and YouTube it does get hammered by fishermen

Been out a few times soft lure fishing on canals and had no luck. So decided to try my local river to lure fish for trout, according to out local Facebook page, lots in there and some up to 10lb, plenty of pics of 5lb plus posted. The river is awkward to get too a lot of it, so I got some waders of Temu, felt a dick in them as I looked like a giant camouflaged teletubby in them lol. Been a few times and still no luck. Am enjoying a couple of hours of spinning but it is hard work.

Grandad lived on a tough inner city council estate , everybody knew him. All the local dog lads , shooters on the big estates. Anybody into coursing will know thease names, Willy Tough was a regular customer and also did a bit for John Lennon . Grandad ad 5 kids , 4 sons and my mam. Had 8 grandkids and out of the whole lot only me had an interest in nature and field sports right from a young age . He used mad at me for shooting starlings in the garden with his airguns lol. Have some great memories there.

My old grandad was a taxidermist, so growing up as a kid was wonderful. He had a pet fox , pet pheasant and we helped a injured kestrel get released again which as a 13 year old led me to an interest in falconry. I think I may have put these story's up before. When the moors murders was active, one of the kids was my my either off the estate or some connection. Anyway the bin men found bones in my grandads dustbin and the police came round and took him in for a interview. The bones were actually off some non domestic cat and obviously he got released and cleared. Another time my grandad was f

A few year back I bought a swb tranny part converted and finished it off. Ended up flogging it as never used it. But I missed the odd night ruffing it. So took the back seats out my dogging car and ply lined and carpeted and built an exstention peace to make a full length bed. Fairy lights on roof lining , black bulk head and window blinds. So I can just head off for the night and do a bit of mooching here and there and still use as a daily dogger.
