My old grandad was a taxidermist, so growing up as a kid was wonderful. He had a pet fox , pet pheasant and we helped a injured kestrel get released again which as a 13 year old led me to an interest in falconry. I think I may have put these story's up before. When the moors murders was active, one of the kids was my my either off the estate or some connection. Anyway the bin men found bones in my grandads dustbin and the police came round and took him in for a interview. The bones were actually off some non domestic cat and obviously he got released and cleared. Another time my grandad was f

Totally agree with that , I used to love a outdoor cook up

Thanks ditchy, I am neither , just a fella selling our own cooked pies at a fair price and we love all of our returning customers

Just finished 5 deep fill desperate dan catering pies , 3 meat potato and 2 cheese onion for a wedding reception.

Yeah looks a great idea cheers , maybe better on a campsite perhaps. Am thinking more stealthy in a lay buy or down a dirt track. Mite rig up a little tarp that sets up quick, just enough to sit and cook under

A few year back I bought a swb tranny part converted and finished it off. Ended up flogging it as never used it. But I missed the odd night ruffing it. So took the back seats out my dogging car and ply lined and carpeted and built an exstention peace to make a full length bed. Fairy lights on roof lining , black bulk head and window blinds. So I can just head off for the night and do a bit of mooching here and there and still use as a daily dogger.

2 Scousers come in this morning, one of them a regular customer, they work all over and pass through. He was showing me footage on his phone of it. He showed me a pic of earlier on in the day before the crowds got there and there was a sniper on the roof, tactical I would of said. I don't know if this was a hoax pic or dibble had put a sniper on the roof as a preventative measure ? Any one else heard anything of this on the media ?

I may be wrong Dan, but joined a Facebook group which is a club on this particular river and they are posting catching trout spinning with lures so I presumed was all above board ? Am probably wrong but thought I'd ask ? Cheers

Had an hour yesterday morning with a mate, but his reel broke. We tried the canal again. Luckily I had the catty in my pocket and dropped a woodie so at least didn't blank lol. I think that canal is a bit naff tbh. Been watching a YouTuber called zombie bite fishing. Anyway I recognized a river he was doing that wasn't far from my gaff. So thought I'd give that a go at 1st light as it seems a popular spot, so I thought get there at daybreak. Hence up now to chill and walk dog

Cheers mate , I add a couple of hours yesterday at teatime. Didn’t even get a bite , but I did get talking to one old boy who said there is not much in that stretch and put me onto a different bit to try . I did see fish , quite big and was bream apparently. I also got sick of the constant alcoholics and crackheads walking the towpaths, just wrong uns. But I did see this nice peace of art work.

Not that type of dogging not enough room lol. Also a squeeze with 2 hancocks in the boot as well
-
Capri , not the best boot on it for lamping dogs lol

Add a quick hour yesterday as was busy with work errands. Was fishing for bout 10mins with a soft lure and as I was retrieving lure just about to come out of water a fish struck the lure but never took . A long slimish silver fish about 7 inches long . Then a barge came through and all the water seem to go a lot more discoloured after that . Got home and some bits had arrived from Temu. So hoping these little lures will be worth a chuck.

Yeah worth a watch pal , was a bit different
