Took the new bow down the permission woods . It packs down well into a rucksack and shoots great , really happy with it. Got some broadheads groupings at 18 yards and then did some stump shooting on beer cans at same range .

Treated myself, got a new bow . A ILF ( international limb fitting) Longbow . Quite rare these , it just means the bow limbs just click in n out with out bolts. Super quick to put together and not often seen in traditional longbows. I know this sounds boring, but this bow is super sexy . 45lb draw and has first 3 shots and love it . Also had some attractant stuff delivered for my photography.

I think it’s mad mate that you could quite easily take out a rabbit or pheasant at 15 to 20 yards and maybe closer a red hind or stag or wild boar with a stick and string ! I’ve ad lurchers for over 30 plus years and never really been interested in guns or shooting apart from air guns for pheasants ect and done a bit ruff shooting with shottys now and again , but wasn’t my bag tbh. But to harvest large and small prey with a stick and string is amazing. It’s so natural mate. I thing that’s why I enjoy hunting with a catty .

I only shoot traditional, I tried compound but fell for trad. Got to get a lot closer to your quarry. Also I target shoot on my permissions and I reckon I would look like John Rambo in Rambo 3 wandering about with a compound. But a little 3 peace recurve or 2 peace longbow breaks down and fits in a rucksack and takes seconds to assemble. To be honest mate I've fell in love with it, a real good stress buster after work. Would love to hunt abroad. That's a good tip about the river and floaters. Cheers

Too hot today mooch with mutt. So went down woods do some what the yanks refer to as stump shooting. You use a judo head on your arrow and it doesn’t break the arrow or impregnate so far. But instead of shooting tree stumps I was shooting the crackheads beer cans. Few shots at 15 and twenty yards. Was nice and peaceful apart from the bloody parakeets squawking above me .

Yeah looks good , would love a gander ŕound there and would probably spend a fist full of dollars in there too. Love the old taxidermy as my late grandfather was a taxidermist.

The sun always brings the punters out ! Yesterday was busy , so preparing for another busy day ! Be mostly sandwiches and salad box’s today and BLT,s as well

At the back of work is some cottages and a communal garden, in summer I have the back door open as it's warm. A little Goldie sings every morning and I always switch radio on alexa off to listen. Staff think am odd, but just love it.

Is that in cover dan or on the beam. Tbh I've never even seen one in the flesh. I don't know anything about them or there habitat or habits . I must admit I would like to see them.

Had a pistol one in my youth. Got a full size one about a year ago for a play, I sold it in a few weeks wasn't for me. Even on my permissions they will draw unwanted attention and the general public have a very dim view of them I think. Around here all the clowns idiot's and wanna be drug dealers have had them , over the years and recently actually some idiot had shot one of the sheep and it was running round with a bolt in it a farmer told me. Ok for genuine enthusiasts and clubs ect, but to powerful and to easy to get for idiot's. I much prefer archery with a traditional stick and string bow

Marching Powder 3/10. I don't actually mind Danny Dyer and thought he was brilliant in th buisness and some other films. But this was dyer literally. I think he was trying to pull off the rolls he played 20 years ago and failed miserably.

Bit of target practice in the sun on Wayne . Also made some targets out of sauce bottles from work and spray foam. Got idea of YouTube, you put rope on them and swing them round and launch em. Shoot pic up and throw again. Snap shooting at random distances.
