Oldskool, In reply to your post, and as you said no offence to the English Bull, but I'd say the English Bull from the 60s and 70s was a different animal to the ones of today, there was probably still working strains back then. As I said in my post it was purely an observation and based on the particular strain that I was familar with. It wasn't meant as a generalisation. Any bull that was introudced would have beed done a long long time ago and would be very diluted.   2. I would agree with most of what has been said here about the Wheaten and with what Eamonn Mc said. I have never owned a wheaten but I saw wheatens working. The ones that I saw were all from the same breeding, kept by a man who at the time worked them very hard and only kept and bred from those that did the job right. They were excellent at their job and were some animals. I wouldn't mind a few of those dogs in my yard now. The dogs could get to a fairly big size, wouldn't know the exact measurement.   6. Trev, Just someone who is interested in working terriers. I was under the impression that forums were places where people could discuss items of interest and that is all I was trying to do. I just wanted to create a discussion similar to all other discussions on this forum on the subject of strong dogs which having searched through the forum doesn't really seemed to have been discussed. If people don't like a topic or aren't interested then they just don't reply. What should my first post be "lovely looking dog mate"? Rebel
